Romney Held Dem Donor Meeting For Former Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz And It Didn’t Go Well

Former presidential nominee Mitt Romney recently hosted a donor meeting for former Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz who has been reportedly considering a run for president as a Democrat in 2020.

Politico’s Ben Schrekinger said the event did not go well and that many left uninspired by the potential nominee.

“Will there be some segment of the customer base that decides, ‘I’m not going to go to Starbucks anymore should he become a candidate,” Mark Kalinowski, president of Kalinowski Equity Research, asked Politico. “You have to think about the employees. You have to think about the shareholders, everybody who might be affected by the decision to run.”

Both Wall Street analysts and Starbucks leadership are concerned about how a potential campaign would impact the coffee company, according to Politico. They’re worried about potentially losing customers from the other side of the political aisle. “You’re putting a lot at risk. You’re putting your peace of mind at risk. You better really understand what you’re getting into. I’ve said that to him,” said former Starbucks president Howard Behar.

Starbucks has had multiple scandals over the last couple of months. Two black men were arrested in a Starbucks in Philadelphia, which then prompted the company to close for a day to conduct racial sensitivity training.

Was thinking Kasuck/Chickenpooper might run as third party in 2020, but perhaps it will be Romney/Schultz instead.

If running as a D in 2020 for pres is his plan, the guy is full on nutter.

Romney could have been President in 2012 had he run an even remotely competent campaign...

He didn’t.

Now to think I will be a republican senator then switch parties and go for the White House in less than 2 years????

Only thing something like this would prove is that the establishment of both parties are in fact one uniparty... and end any plausible deniability of it.

I never liked Romney, but to me it was obvious the fix was in for Barry. Romney cleaned Obama’s clock in the first debate. His handlers must have told him to ease up, because that’s exactly what he did. He threw it right to Obama, as per his instructions, no doubt.

The only person who did a worse job in 2012 was Ryan.
Both clearly didn’t want the job but wanted the $$$.
I was in Fort Collins at the time.
Obama showed up with and did a public meeting.
Ryan showed up and asked for $ from donors in a private meeting.

I saw quickly we were seeing a replay of McCain.

I’ve already stopped Starbucks. The sugar is bad for my body, and the social justice BS is bad for my mood.

That's what Michael Bloomberg proved when he ran for mayor of NYC as a Republican because that's where the available slot was.

The bigger scandal here is that a supposed Republican-—Romnay—is hosting events for a Democrat.

“The only person who did a worse job in 2012 was Ryan.”

Ryan also had his clock cleaned in the VP debate with Biden ... Biden chewed him up and spit him out in little pieces ... it was rather shocking because the media had played Ryan up as some kind of debating genius, while painting Biden as a buffoon ... turns out the opposite was true, which is usually the case with anything the leftist fake stream media publishes ... Personally, I just didn’t understand the full extend of their mendacity at that time ... Now I do, but then again, most of the American people now know this as well given that the leftist fake stream media has destroyed its last shreds of remaining credibility via its universal display of its Trump Derangement Syndrome ...

1000% agree. It was a glaring change of tone from 1st to 2nd debate. He never acted the same again in the campaign. It felt like they had his family locked in a shipping container ;)
