A White House stenographer says she resigned over the Trump administration's lack of respect for her office after President Trump reduced the roles of the White House position.
Beck Dorey-Stein, who worked as a stenographer for the White House during the second half of the Obama administration, told CNN's New Day on Wednesday that Trump's refusal to allow stenographers in the room for meetings and interviews with some journalists crossed a line.
"I quit because I couldn't be proud of where I worked anymore," Dorey-Stein said. "I felt like President Trump was lying to the American people, and also ... not even trying to tell the truth. He wasn't even going the extra mile to have the stenographers in the room"

In an op-ed for The New York Times, Dorey-Stein added that Trump's dislike for microphones "near his face" resulted in her office having less access to the Oval Office, in many cases resulting in no stenographer being present for press conferences or meetings.
"In my five years with President Barack Obama, off-the-record discussions with reporters happened after work hours not for an hour in the middle of the work day, and certainly not before an interview," she said, speaking of Trump's off-the-record conversation with former Fox News host Bill O'Reilly.

The operative question is: Why was she allowed to stay on for 18 months?
"I quit because I couldn't be proud of where I worked anymore," Dorey-Stein said.
Uh, if she was proud to work for Ebola, I think we've located the issue, as well as measured her credibility as a judge of character.
Well gee this woman worked under Obama, the BIGGEST phony baloney liar of them all..but its all good when Dems lie, all for the common good
Her bias could manifest itself in the notes she was taking. Good riddance.
Beck Dorky-Stain? Never trust a woman with a hyphenated name.
Good Riddance! Drain The Swamp!
If you don’t like the new boss or his policies than leave.
Oh, she’s writing a book.
And the media is trying to make her the heroine-du-jour.
Anybody else had enough of this crap? What is the next breaking news? White House Janitor says Trump wads his paper up in a wierd way before tossing it in the trash can?
Feeling like someone is lying doesn’t mean they are.
So she didn’t have a problem with:
“If you like your plan, you can keep your plan”
“If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor?”
Maybe he only wants people in the room who can tell the difference between feelings and facts.
Second Rule of Management: Never hire a woman with a hyphenated name.
In my five years with President Barack Obama, off-the-record discussions with reporters happened after work hours
The Bribes were BIG very BIG
Ah, felt like Trump was lying... Uh-huh.
Good. Another Obama-bot flushed.
A gov’mint employee who could not work with a person grounded in the private sector ... tsk, tsk, tsk.
“Hey, Betty, didja hear about “this” today? No!?!? lemme tell ya ... “
