Before this harebrained and reckless administration is history, the nation will have cause to celebrate the public servants derided by Trumpists as the supposed deep state.
The term itself is propaganda, intended to cast a sinister light upon men and women whom Trump and his minions find annoyingly knowledgeable and experienced. They are not participants in any kind of dark conspiracy. Rather, they are feared and loathed by the president and his wrecking crew of know-nothings because they have spent years often decades mastering the details of foreign and domestic policy.
God bless them. With a supine Congress unwilling to play the role it is assigned by the Constitution, the deep state stands between us and the abyss.
Democrats in Congress are powerless; the Republican leadership, spineless. Experienced government officials know that their job is to serve the president. But what if the president does not serve the best interests of the nation?
In this emergency, the loyal and honorable deep state has a higher duty. Its called patriotism.

Mask is completely off now, eh?
FU, WaPo...
The masks come off.
Amazing!
Full admission.
Just one question.
When do we go to war?
The reckoning moves a step closer.
“Serve the best interests of the nation”?
What arrogance to think they define that term.
The Constitution clearly says that Congress must prevent America from becoming great again, and it explicitly enjoins Congress to impeach anyone named Donald J. Trump.
Our domestic enemies are going to be VERY “UNHAPPY” on November 7.....
PsyOps before the coming battle. Well, before the battle becomes harder to miss by those not paying attention at least.
Wow - what do you say to something like that?
Words truly fail me. Except to say this is why some refer to this rag as the Washington Compost (Mark Levin’s line I think).
They all convinced themselves this week that they are “patriots” for being intolerant of diverse POV and independent thought.
take this, WaPo:
19 Jul: The Hill: House votes to disavow carbon tax
By Timothy Cama and Juliegrace Brufke
The House passed a nonbinding measure Thursday to denounce a carbon tax, calling it detrimental to the United States.
The resolution, sponsored by House Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.), states that a tax on emissions of carbon dioxide the most prevalent greenhouse gas that causes climate change would be detrimental to American families and businesses, and is not in the best interest of the United States.
It passed 229-180 with two members voting “present.”
Six Republicans voted against the resolution...
Seven Democrats broke with their caucus to vote yes...
Thursdays resolution also served as a major test for the Climate Solutions Caucus, which launched in 2016. It is a bipartisan group of 86 lawmakers, split evenly between the parties, who generally agree that they want to fight climate change, but rarely agree on policies to do so...
In the end, 34 of the climate caucuss 43 Republican members voted for the resolution to denounce a carbon tax...

They have been cooperating fully, with those selling out American manufacturing, to China.
For the entire last generation, and a half.
Go Trump.
Give em heck.
Richard Feynman had a hierarchy of the sciences:
Physics is applied mathematics.
Chemistry is applied physics.
Biology is applied chemistry.
Psychology is a bunch of witch doctors.
When excluding the sciences, the standards drop considerably. (Not for all, we admit, but things are going downhill pretty rapidly.)
Journalism appears to be well below even psychology.
And at the very bottom of journalism: A contest between the WaPo and the NYT.
Did these cowards at the Washington Post have the balls to sign this example of their epic stupidity?
“....because they have spent years often decades mastering the details of foreign and domestic policy.”
And that right there is the problem. Their idea of “mastering” has cost us plenty.
Except that, by their own admission, they are.
Well, they spent so much time and effort planting Communists throughout government that we shouldn’t really expect them to give up their assets without a fight.
Problem with that is that compost is beneficial, and the Toast is surely not.
Absent the Bezos $$, the Toast would be a Weekly Shopper adjunct.
