My Mom a few weeks back tried to use it on some Align for me(Tummy issues, long story), they would NOT accept the coupon even though it was directly from CVS..she asked them what’s the point of mailing these coupons if they are worthless, the manager came and said she can’t use it, oh well..and we are white so I guess that means we can’t cry racism

Was it? Did she print it out herself or was it cut out from a professionally printed source that was authorized (and paid for) by the manufacturer?
That was unclear in the article, unless my reading comprehension is lacking.
A CVS opened a few years ago, just a few blocks from our home. My wife got a bunch of coupons from them and decided to use some. When she got to the checkout, NONE of the coupons were honored. There was always some restriction in the fine print on the back (and I do mean FINE print — it could not be read without a magnifier). My wife left everything there and has never been back.
These days there almost always is more to the story regarding discrimination.
