Are Record LOW temperatures evidence of global cooling?

Because both are going on at the same time, in different parts of the globe.

Global Warming is and has always been a MARXIST SCAM....I don’t care how hot it gets.

The UN has even admitted that its not about climate, its about destroying capitalism.

"We must all begin yelling at the Sun."

You're right. I'll get some feathered headdresses and some rattles made of dried out gourds...and drums. Maybe that will be even more effective. Oh...and maybe some beer to keep us from backing out of the deal.

Here is the thing about temperature records. They go back 200 years or so at the most and obviously much less in many places. There are in any given year 365 times 2 = 730 (both highs and lows) chances to set a new record for any particular day. Given that the odds are you are going to see record temperatures set every year and probably for the rest of our lives. The media of course goes into hysterics over many a thing. Discernment is needed when one observes the raw sewage the media spews forth.

Are recorded temperatures verifiable with a chain of custody as courtroom evidentiary. Were the sensors in calibration and where is the document proof of the calibration. Is that document verifiable with a chain of custody. Are the sensor readers certified and registered and what about their chain of custody provable qualification documents?

REAL science is tough and requires all the potential loopholes to be filled in. So far all I ever hear and see is we must TRUST so very, very much of faceless and unknown resources to buy into climate conclusions.

No. I recently flew from Sacramento to San Antonio and then on to Corpus Christi and back. Once we got to cruising altitude, there was 5 hours of virtual nothingness to look at other than mountains, deserts, forests, lakes and rivers. An occasional settlement dotted the landscape but, otherwise, this part of the country seemed virtually uninhabited.

And then consider that 70 to 75% of the earth's surface is ocean. There's absolutely no way man can affect the climate. There's just not enough of us.

cherry picking ‘data’ (from now asphalt and concrete covered urban sites) and ignoring old records

time to tell your leftard acquaintances - to save mother gaia they have to turn off their evil air-conditioning, their winter heating, driving their cars.

suddenly they all go quiet in a moment of lucidity and then their mental disease reasserts itself and they start shrieking and frothing at the mouth.

Here in Eastern South Carolina we had a few days in the early summer when the high reached nearly one hundred, there was weeping and wailing about the heat. More recently the high has been around 92 which is four degrees or so below average for late July but no one is talking about the cool weather! We had high temps in September of 1954 well over 100 but this will be the hottest year yet according to the climate change nuts. We had summers in the late sixties hot enough to make suicide seem like a logical choice, you could sit under a shade tree at midnight and drink ice water and the sweat would roll down your cheeks but no one seems to remember that.

No its proof that Gavin Schmidt at NASA keeps lowering the past temperatures.

More of a hypothesis, at best.

In my lifetime in Los Angeles the top temps and the dryness have gotten worse, meaning hotter longer and dryer for more of the year. Definitely. I’m no idiot. But NONE OF THIS FACT is proof this climactic change is man made. And why the hell would it be?

Climates on planets change. No one has a “correct” temperature or meteorological condition for this planet. We aren’t as powerful as the volcanic forces, the sun, anything.

I find it weird how some of the coldest winter places get so hot. It seems like in those spots it is never 70 degrees and enjoyable.

Our current SoCal hot-as-hell weather has been caused by high pressure systems. I guess they are keeping the marine layer from cooling us off.

And the droughts that we have been experiencing are nothing compared to the nearly 400 years of drought that began around 850.

“Then in the 1970’s there was an approaching Ice Age that was going to destroy life and society as we know it.”

That Ice Age prediction was made by a British academic named Hubert Lamb. Lamb basically founded the whole Climatic Research movement when he was at the University of East Anglia. He’s the Godfather of the whole thing, and right up to his death in 1997 he still believed that we are headed for an Ice Age.

Lamb got interested in climate study because of the Medieval Warm Period that ran somewhere between 800 and 1400 and the Little Ice Age that followed it. We are assured by the high priests of Anthropogenic Global Warming that the Medieval Warm Period was way different than the current warming, which is something last experienced by dinosaurs.

Thanks for the info.
I do remember a Lamb being quoted in some articles back then.
The problem with most academics is they don’t realise how little they know.

East Anglia U seems to be a hot bed of leftism. Is it the Berkeley of the UK?

“East Anglia U seems to be a hot bed of leftism. Is it the Berkeley of the UK?”

Beats me. It just happens to be where the whole Climate Science thing got its start. I didn’t see evidence that Hubert Lamb set out to create a movement, he may have just been interested in looking for a reason for the Medieval Warming Period and the Little Ice Age.

But doesn’t look to me like he ever came to any conclusion on what caused those events. The possible reasons range from solar events to volcanoes. No convenient man-made causes to be exploited.

It’s interesting that Lamb is revered in the climate science world despite the fact that he never changed from his view that an Ice Age is the coming threat.

They couldn’t exactly denounce their prophet once they set him on the dais now could they.
They most they can say is his work was incomplete.
But they won’t even do that.
