WSJ/NBC Poll: Trump’s Approval Rating Inches Higher, Buoyed by Republican Support (New High)
Breitbart ^ | July 22,2018 | Michael C. Bender

Posted on 07/22/2018 4:49:25 PM PDT by Hojczyk

Despite a week of constant criticism by the media, Democrats, and certain members of the Republican party for his meeting with Vladamir Putin in Helsinki, Donald Trump’s approval ratings increased to the highest level of his presidency according to a Wall Street Journal/ NBC poll. Michael C. Bender writes at the Wall Street Journal:

WASHINGTON—President Donald Trump’s approval rating edged higher during a week in which he faced withering criticism following a summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin, signaling that he is positioned to weather the latest controversy sparked by his unusual brand of politics.

Mr. Trump’s job approval rating rose to 45% in a new Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll, the highest mark of his presidency and up 1 percentage point from June. The survey was taken over a four-day period that started July 15, a day before Mr. Trump’s news conference with Mr. Putin in which he questioned the conclusion of U.S. intelligence agencies that Russia meddled in the 2016 election.

Underpinning Mr. Trump’s job approval was support from 88% of Republican voters. Of the four previous White House occupants, only George W. Bush, in the aftermath of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, had a higher approval rating within his own party at the same point in his presidency.

The survey found Democrats leading by 6 percentage points on the question of which party should control the next Congress, down from a 10-point advantage in June and 7 points in April. Some 49% of voters in the new survey said Democrats should lead the next Congress, while 43% favored the GOP.

The Red wave Voter drive of enthusiasm is on!

Words today from m Ted Nugent:

“The braindead soulless America hating Democrats rely on abject ignorance to support their scams and America destroying lies. Tragic. Unsecure borders. Gunfree slaughterzones. Sanctuary for criminals. Non-Americans getting to vote. Rewarding pimps whores and welfare brats. Punishing hard-working families and entrepreneurs. We must crush them and send them packing. Go real America redwave go!”

The MSM, Democrats and NeverTrumper Republicans are shaking their heads and asking, “Why do those f***ing Deplorables keep supporting that man?”

This survey is especially remarkable coming from a polling outfit not predisposed to divulging such approval of our marvelous POTUS.

One has to think that President Trump’s overall popularity is even higher if this poll is even better than Rasmussen which showed a bit of slippage last week.

Praying for another electoral landslide for Trump/Pence in 2020!!!

“Donald Trump’s approval ratings increased to the highest level of his presidency according to a Wall Street Journal/ NBC poll.”...…..

I love it when a plan comes together. NBC has got to be boiling in oil with all the combined hatred of all media groups except for the marginal Fox news. I hope Trump’s ratings continue to climb.

Mr. Trump’s job approval rating rose to 45% in a new Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll.

Good that means Trump is at 50%!

(I get that by using my 5% rule, since all these polls over sample democrats by roughly that amount, in my head I add 5% to any Republican and subtract 5% from any democrat. I.E. If Obama was at 48%, then the real approval was 43% and if Trump is at 45% the real approval is 50%). That's how I knew Trump was going to win the election when all the polls had Hillary 3-4 points ahead on the eve of the election. It works surprisingly well, give it a try before an election sometime.)

I wonder what the MSM has planned for this week’s outrage... perhaps Trump’s dislike for dogs/cats, or perhaps his choice in shoes.

Underpinning Mr. Trump’s job approval was support from 88% of Republican voters.

But lower than that among Washington (swamp) Republicans.

I want a Red Wave in November so tgat one or two senators can no longer hold the party hostage.

Larry Sabato said to add 10 points to Trump’s approval rating (when reading media polls) to get the actual number.

One YouTuber who comments politically but is not aligned with either party says the key to the midterms is Trump’s approval reaching 45%. He says if Trump is at or near 45% in November, then both houses will stay GOP.
