Sen. Rand Paul called Monday for President Trump to revoke former CIA director John Brennan's security clearance, as he questioned whether the Obama-era spy boss was “monetizing” his access to sensitive information in his new role as a pundit.

“Is John Brennan monetizing his security clearance? Is John Brennan making millions of dollars divulging secrets to the mainstream media with his attacks on @realDonaldTrump?”

Brennan is no longer CIA chief, there is a little preface to security clearances, it is called NEED TO KNOW, so you may have a top secret clearance you can NOT ask for info willy nilly.

I have a security clearance and once I no longer have a need to know, it will be suspended. Period. Yet these government hacks leave government to go to some "thinktank" with a media side gig and somehow retain their top secret clearances. So they can do things like Sandy Burglar and steal documents, for example. Or selectively leak stuff to their media cronies.

Everyone without a need to know should have their clearances yanked, and Brennan has no need to know in his current role. This should be standard process as it is everywhere else and at every other level of access.

I think that most Americans who are interested in what our govt does in the way of their employees have thought that severance of their employment meant exactly that. No further connection with their former employer. If Brennan still has security clearance to access whatever he wants then how many more ex govt employees also have that same access? No wonder this deliberate hard left chaos that continues to disrupt the Trump administration is never ending. Our govt needs more Rand Paul elected leaders to clean house from top to bottom. Pres Trump cannot do everything by himself, he has to have help from congress and that means no more RINOS. This Nov election is so important to the survival of this Repubic.
