The lobster industry in Maine has taken a huge hit because of the tariffs as well. I wonder if this $$ extends to them?

The administration said the program was just temporary.

Hmmm..... :-/

“Automaker bailout for a couple of automakers was 25 billion, bank bailout was 700 billion for the big banks making lousy loans. Most Americans received nothing of measure for these bailouts unless they needed a car from a bailed out company or banked at one of the mega banks. So a 12 billion bailout for farmers that actually feed us, that’s usable.”

I am of the opinion that Marxist Economics is poor policy no matter what industry is the recipient of the taxpayer’s largesse.

I agree, I can’t believe what this site says is good sometimes now — when redistribution of wealth is seen as a good thing. Tariffs are usually bad, and taking money from one group of Americans to give to another group because of the tariffs, is bad.

Really? They must be pretty good SINCE EVERY OTHER COUNTRY WE TRADE WITH HAS BLOCKED OUR EXPORTS WITH HIGH TARIFFS! LOL. Did you know that tariffs were the biggest part of income for the USA up to 1913 and during that period the USA became an industrial super power? Think about it. I mean think; not feel.

Like you Marx was a Free Trader.

The reason why the Republicans struggle to gain a majority is because a tiny sliver of the electorate, Free Traitor globalists ( Bushies), dominate the leadership of the party. Until they get the axe, the Republicans will always struggle, when they shouldn't have to.

Free Traitors™ are burden to the party.

When in American or world history has giving taxpayer money, to a select industry been a benefit to the national economy?

Amen! Those EPA spouts are a hazard. They all leak.

The mandate also has driven up the price of a gas can.

For God Sakes man, the 700 billion bailout was paid back with interest. I’m not saying the farm subsidy isn’t worth it but please seriously, 10 years later and you still spread a lie?

Where is this lie ? It was never said or implied it wasn't paid back. All that was stated was there was a 700 million bailout that benefitted the bank getting the bailout, and that most Americans received nothing of measure for these bailouts. So where is this horrific LIE ?

Speaking of EBTs, why not purchase the soybeans and let them eat it. Short the EBT cards for a few months.

This is stupid. Just as stupid as the tariffs were in the first place.

Trump is determined to squander all of the good he has done on economically illiterate policies like this.
