We already know that most Republicans support amnesty just as passionately as Democrats, much as they support the key elements of Obamacare. We learned yesterday, in one of the most spectacular acts of perfidy ever against the citizenry of this country, that most top Republicans support open borders for the current wave of illegals as well as for the future waves, until the end of times.
For years, conservatives have been begging House Republicans to use the power of the purse in the Department of Homeland Security appropriations bills to stand for our borders, fight sanctuary cities, defund amnesty, and block judicial tyranny on immigration. Yet no matter how brazenly Obama and the courts defied immigration law, congressional Republicans refused to ever consider defunding the lawless acts in the budget bills. Fast-forward to the Trump administration, where Attorney General Sessions has finally committed to upholding the proper letter and spirit of asylum law and almost every Republican on a top committee voted to defund the only effective means of ending the ruination of Americas borders.
Yesterday, the House Appropriations Committee, during a markup of the fiscal year 2019 DHS funding bill, voted to block the new USCIS guidance to properly interpret credible fear as fear of an individualized persecution by a government. As we noted before, this is the lynchpin of the entire border surge, and unless we properly interpret the law as written, the border surge, drugs, gangs, and all of the fiscal and social ills that come with them will never stop. Yet Rep. Kevin Yoder, R-Kan., yes, that Kevin Yoder gave his support to this Democrat amendment, and it passed by voice vote.
Yoder, as chairman of the Homeland Security subcommittee, should be a warrior for the American people and law enforcement. Instead, he is a voice for illegal immigrants. He inserted numerous amendments tying the hands of DHS and giving illegals more rights. He inserted language mandating more free phone calls for illegals and more access to facilities by members of Congress so they can further agitate and hamper our brave agents.
The entire tenor of the markup was a violation of the social compact. Its as if the ill effects of this border surge on America from the drugs and gangs to the crushing costs and crime didnt matter. He voted to push forward with an investigation of separating families when we know the entire issue is built on a lie and that many of these families self-separate.
Amazingly, Yoder did this just a day after flying on Air Force One and receiving the endorsement of President Trump! The president thanked him for putting $5 billion in the bill for a border wall, but the border wall is worthless with Yoders asylum policy. It allows anyone to come here and simply claim a bogus fear. Then we are forced to deal with their children, release them, go through endless court cases, and lose control of our country. It is now clear that RINOs like Yoder not only want amnesty for those already here but want to ensure that the invasion continues in perpetuity.
Almost nobody in Congress seems to care about we the people. Senator Tom Cotton was the only one who voiced his concern:
Tom Cotton ✔ @TomCottonAR Why is @HouseAppropsGOP voting to undermine AG Sessions's asylum reforms & throw open our borders to fraud & crime? The amendment they adopted today is the kind of thing that will kill the DHS spending bill. I hope the full committee removes it.

Out of the committee members, Rep. John Carter, R-Texas, was the only one who spoke out against the provision in committee.
I hope the Republicans lose 80 seats in the next House elections.
EVERY vote should be a rollcall vote. COWARDS & CROOKS.
If you would like to know who owns Congressman Yoder, here is a link to his campaign contributors:

Unless Trump betrays his core campaign promise and brand identity, or they can come up with the votes to override a veto, they can do what they like and there will be no effective outcome.

Personally, I don’t want the Democrats to be able to totally stop Trump which 80 seats would do.

Sorry, folks, but Donald Trump doesn’t give a damn about immigration. He simply knew that to get elected, he had to outflank Ted Cruz. Great judges, great trade actions, great for deregulation, but when it comes to immigration, the only thing he’s ever done has been to pick an attorney general who, despite other failings, has been great on the issue.
That will not be tolerated in the Trump party and we now own the republican party and they need to get OUT!!

The patriotic Freedom Caucus will insure that an amendment to remove this piece of crap is voted on BY ROLL CALL. And the ULTIMATE SAFEGUARD IS A VETO BY TRUMP.
YODER IS A PIECE OF HUMAN EXCREMENT!
Cheap Labor Express stooges.
Bush League Republicans.
Weasels.

Congress hasn’t passed anything with the Nancy Ryan and Mitt McConnell anyway. What’s Pelosi going to do? At least that way, America will know who their enemy is.
I hate the way Freepers lump all Republicans together when they bash the Republican Party, but the House leadership has to be hurt, and hurt badly. They need a scar that they will fear the rest of their careers.
We don’t own the GOP, most of the elected are still Bush League Republicans who are still hell bent of turning the USA into North Mexico.
A whole lot of Cantorizing needed to happen and it hasn’t.
These weasels need to be primaried out.
There needs to be some type of legal smell test applied to these kind of cases.
For instance - could I fly to New Zealand, refuse to return to the US, and then claim persecution by Yoder and his lot? If not, then this amendment is ridiculous.
This bill needs to be vetoed,
Try a massive last minute write-in campaign against the traitor.

This is the membership of the Republican “Main Street” caucus. They are committed to defeating conservatism whenever there is a clash between conservatives and Wall Street.
Utter nonsense. President Donald Trump brought up immigration long before Ted Cruz was a serious contender.
“The Main Street Partnership has allied with other moderate Republican groups, including Christine Todd Whitman’s It’s My Party Too, Ann Stone’s Republicans for Choice, the Log Cabin Republicans, the Republican Majority For Choice, The Wish List, Republicans for Environmental Protection...”
Man I am pretty jaded too but no where near believing Trump doesn't care about immigration. But I certainly agree that the GOP leadership are all open borders and mostly #NeverTrump.
