By refusing to collude with the Russians when he was set up by Hillary and the Obama administration, Trump committed premeditated obstruction of justice because now there is no crime to accuse him of.
Whenever I hear about this meeting I have to ask myself “what laws were broken?”, A candidate running for office is promised to be briefed on the dirt on the other candidate. Ostensibly that if interested there would be further negotiations on compensation — which may or not have been legal, but it never advanced that far.
Don’t know what they would be thinking though, Hillary carries a lot of baggage so just mere innuendo wouldn’t be worth the time and effort. What clues me in that it was a setup is that it looks like they were trying to setup a pay to play or tit for tat.
See as I understand the laws, foreign entities can provide campaign support on their own time and dime and only restricted by restrictions relating to or arising from monetary or in-kind contributions. I.E campaign contributions.
So I ask again, what law was broken?
McCain flew to Canada as part of his involvement.
This indicates someone initiated the contact months before and then setup a meeting with key people involved.
This is called a “Conspiracy” and is a felony in any definition .
The question I have is how many other GOP members are involved in this Conspiracy.
Did Hillary break any law by purchasing dirt on Trump via the Trump Dossier? Not in commissioning and paying. The laws were broken in using the DOJ, FBI, CIA, etc. to provide resources, the fisa process abuse, and in any payments to the sources by the government.
The illegality is in getting government agencies to assist, pay, scheme, wiretap, spy, etc.
If she’d paid for dirt with her own money, then that is just opposition research.
Same way as Trump buying opposition research would have been perfectly legal, imho.
All the people involved with getting government agencies to spend time and money obstructing the transition and Administration, normal functions of the US government, are guilty of Conspiracy to Defraud the United States, which carries a five-year prison sentence.
