Easy to do. Breckinridge Colorado changed it’s name to BreckEnridge due to the Civil War.
Breckinridge captured the vote in the South in 1860. He had been VP under Franklin Pierce, later became a Confederate officer.
How about AUSTON, AUSTEN, BAUSTIN, PUSTIN.
I wish ALL pubs and sites would stop the dramatic headlines. Austin isn’t “considering” changing its name; ONE office/agency within the city government has recommended a name change.
If you want to fundamentally change a country you need to destroy its identity.

Why not rename it for what it is? It’s the queer capital of Texas and the university of Texas has become the bastion of liberalism in Texas. The Envio-wackos and “fruit cakes” have taken over the city. You might say a piece of California came up from the national sewer to contaminate all that Austin stands for. Next will be Waco.
Do you live in the “real world?” For your information any mention of name changes for anything to fit political correctness will eventually become fact and truth. Name a single instance where that is not true or that it has not happened.
