August 1st is 30th anniversary of national show ( Which for months New York City WABC AM listeners in 1988 wished they could hear)
For those of you who aren’t listening, so far Rush has talked about how great he is, how great his program is, and is now quoting some nobody who mentioned him in a book.
Seriously - in a narcissist contest between Rush and Obama I’m not sure who would win.
Now, I do think his show has been getting better recently since he’s come around to be more and more pro-Trump, but I hate it when he talks about himself, since it’s obviously his favorite subject at all (even more than iPhones, football and Lifelock).
Will become your absolute fave cheesecake. Almond paste/almond extract give very pronounced almond flavor.
Can do several days ahead; flavor gets better. Raspberry sauce compliments cake's richness; or use strawberries.
Or simply drizzle w/ chocolate sauce.
Marzipan Cheesecake
CRUST press 3/4 c chocolate/biscotti crumbs, 3 tb melted butter in 8" springform bottom. Bake 350 deg 10 min; cool.
FILLING elec/mixer well 2-8 oz pkg cr/cheese, 6 oz almond paste. Add 1/2 c sugar; beat light/fluffy. Add 3 eggs, tsp almond extract, cup sour cream; beat/combine. Pour into crust; smooth top. Bake 55-60 min--center jiggles when gently shaken. Cool on rack in pan 30 min. Run sharp knife at edge; remove sides; cool completely. Cover/chill 4-6 hours.
SERVE slices drizzled w/ sauce; garnished w/ fresh raspberries.
SAUCE Proc/puree cup raspberries; sieve out seeds. Heat/dissolve puree, 1/4 c sugar, tb cornstarch, tsp l/juice; thicken slightly. Cool and refrigerate.

I think Rush has the rich-man-disease which makes this all entertaining instead of a fight for freedom.
If Trump gets impeach many of us will lose our freedom. It has nothing to do with Starr.
FWIW - I have met Ken Starr and talked with him in his kitchen. He is an impressive man.

No, Rush was saying President Trump was doing what the Dems did to Starr. Just not true.
And, by the way, Starr gave us homosexual marriage. He’s a bad man.
