As in “Let’s kick the can down the road and hope the Dems take control of things so we don’t have to deal with it.”

Problem with that is when the GOP gains ground despite the best efforts of Ryan/McConnell to lose seats.

Why doesn’t Mcconnell just say it takes 60 votes and democrats won’t vote for it. That’s the truth.

Bush League Republicans think they can stall and wait out a four year term and get back to business as usual, importing cheap labor and betraying the citizens.

The judges are more important then the wall. Mcconnell has been excellent in that extremely important regard.

Do you think we have 60 votes???? You are very naive to believe that.

Trump said after the Omnibus spending bill that he only signed that to fund our military, so why sign this?

A new House Speaker and Senate Majority Leader would make a big difference > IMO.

Hopefully we’ll get the right ones in January.

Yes it is frustrating.

We’ve waited decades for a chance to get things back on track, and Tutor Turtle and Paul the Small, have almost totally muffed it.

No problem Mitch. With you and Ryan at the congressional helm, I wasn’t holding my breath.

After all, since we’ve been stuck with an anti-Trump, uniparty Congress left over from the lawless Obama Administration, Pres. Trump’s first two years in office are arguably for practice anyway. (Need to amend that Constitution for recall.)

But we’ll hopefully have a state sovereignty-respecting, Trump-supporting Congress after the midterm elections, a Congress that supports Trump’s vision for MAGA including the wall.

“We” do not control Congress, the establishment does.
The Swamp draining is up to US.
We have to remove the Bush League Republicans from office, Trump can’t do that.

He laid it out in this speech:

translation: Maybe by being deliberately obtuse I can get enough Democrats elected to make this a non-starter and never have to deal with it again.

Failure to move on the wall undermines the very concept of an American future. Inaction is premised upon the fantasy that people are interchangeable, on the "let's pretend,' that the water or wind will somehow reorient people who have no demonstrated interest in preserving the values of the Funding Fathers, into American patriots. That is not what experience teaches!

An American Immigration Policy.

The point is not that those South of the border are bad people. Many of them are fine people--though certainly not all. But they have different priorities; different purposes in coming here; different aspirations. We on the other hand have limited space; limited resources (as does every people). And our first duty--our sworn duty--is to our own.

Probably better to do so. Immigration is now the #1 issue, and the more the left screams about abolishing ICE, the more they alienate sane people.

These STUPID IDIOTS think that postponing the wall is helping them??? This IS STRICTLY for their DONORS!!! I wouldn’t be a bit surprised if these IDIOTS didn’t lose the house AND senate they have absolutely NO CLUE as to what their VOTERS want!!! Problem is that they DONT CARE if we end up under DEM rule again they don’t care one way or the other!!! I just want to SCREAM!!!!

Then make it to where only 51 are needed.

I am not interested in excuses any longer.

The best that can be said is that he has done his job, but he has also allowed the Democrats to drag their feet on many of Trump’s nominations. Are you aware one of Trump’s judicial nominations had to wait a full year to be approved? Did you know a number of them had to wait over six months?

Yes, I believe there have been some records set, but are you aware of the backlog McConnell still has?

He is dragging his feet, trying to kill time.

http://thehill.com/homenews/administration/377829-trump-hits-dems-on-record-number-of-unconfirmed-nominees

Trump has also had the smallest percent of nominees confirmed by the Senate at this point in his presidency, relative to recent predecessors. Only 57 percent of Trump’s nominees have been confirmed, below that of Presidents Barack Obama (67 percent), George W. Bush (78 percent), Bill Clinton and George H.W. Bush (each with 81 percent).

https://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2018/mar/16/donald-trump/why-trump-appointments-have-lagged-behind-other-pr/

McConnell allows the Democrats to pull all sorts of games to slow walk the process.

He has absolutely zero leadership skills.

This is a huge amnesty and H Visas sell out bill.
Ryan has a massive Amnesty clause allowing millions to get amnesty and 200,0000 cheap labor visas .

This is Koch Bros Traitors and C of C amnesty treason.

Mitchy and Ryan are trying to corner Trump by pushing these sleazy
move .

Trump should not sign a thing .
Then veto the treason after the midterms .
