According to “sources with knowledge” talking to CNN—whatever that means—Michael Cohen is prepared to tell Special Counsel Robert Mueller that Donald Trump knew in advance about the June 9, 2016 Trump Tower meeting between Don Jr. and Russians. The president still denies knowing about that meeting beforehand.
Don Jr. was emailed by a British music promoter, Rob Goldstone, who promised that the Russian “crown prosecutor” had information that would “incriminate Hillary and her dealings with Russia.” When the meeting took place, in walked two Russian nationals, Rinat Akhmetshin and Natalia Veselnitskaya, who proceeded to talk to Don Jr., Jared Kushner, and others about how Americans could once again adopt Russian children, if only the Magnitsky Act were repealed. Eyes surely rolled, and the meeting was ended. Kushner even messaged his assistant to try to come up with an excuse to leave the meeting early.

The so-called "intelligence community" used this fraudulent dossier to spy on the Trump campaign and mislead American FISA Courts.
At the same time Fusion GPS was working for the Democrats, Fusion GPS was working for the Kremlin, and with the Russians that showed up at that Trump Tower meeting.
There’s nothing incriminating about meeting with Russians.
Even if Trump knew, SO WHAT?
And what exactly is “incriminating”?
The core thing about all this is everyone paying the slightest attention knows the entire premise for the Mueller investigation is false. Yet no one in a position to stop it is doing so. In DC, investigations seem to be a kind of sport or make-or-break program for a whole host of government hangers on, and honesty, integrity and the best interests of the country be damned.

Yeah, that’s short enough. Pretty much knew that, but always good to see an article recognizing it. Now if liberals would just read it.
If he knew, then why the lies?
I think the evidence points to the corruption of our government agencies, that’s about it.
I don’t believe he lied.
Cohen is the one lying.
This is precisely why Mueller wants to interview Trump, so he can get him to disagree with some other players: Cohen, Gates? Then purgery becomes the impeachable crime they have been looking for for two years.
This is very sneaky, but reminds me of a motorcycle comp who once tole me that he could pull any biker over and find something wrong with the bike. Not what you like the law to be up to, but Mueller is up to this in spades.
Frankly, I don’t care even a tiny bit if he lied, if he knew about the meeting, or even if it was illegal. I learned not to care from the Democrats, and for that I’m truly grateful to them.
The premise was so what if Trump knew. I tend to agree. But it still begs the question if he did know then why the lie?
