Koch network freezing out Republicans who have crossed them
The Hill ^ | 07/30/18 | Jonathan Easley

Billionaire conservative businessman Charles Koch’s political network is freezing out Republicans that it believes have violated its fiscally conservative principles, and is, at least for now, only supporting four Senate GOP candidates in the fall.

The Koch network is backing GOP Senate candidates in Wisconsin, Missouri, Tennessee and Florida, signaling it will be selective in where it engages as Republicans seek to retain or grow their narrow 51-49 majority.

At a Monday presentation to about 500 of the network’s top donors at a five-star resort in the Rocky Mountains, Americans for Prosperity president Tim Phillips made an example out of Rep. Kevin Cramer (R-N.D.), who is seeking to oust incumbent Sen. Heidi Heitkamp (D-N.D.) in a state Trump carried by more than 30 points.

Koch brothers gave their money to corrupt, establishment Republicans who ended up losing.

The Koch brothers are not supporting honest, conservative candidates.

From the article:

"The Koch network is seeking Democratic partners on some of its top legislative priorities, such as criminal justice reform and a pathway to citizenship for "Dreamers."

“I’m happy and our organization is happy to support anyone and we’d love there to be more Democrats that support these values and these issues,” Koch said."

If the Kock Brothers do any business with the federal government,
it’s time to throw their companies off the government dole.

The Koch Brothers end up being as malign a force in politics as George Soros.

Not because they back “progressives”, but because they end up funding candidates who will do little or nothing to block and counter “progressives”, either by losing in an election contest against them, or by buckling under pressure and give up the contest once in office.

With as much money as the Koch Brothers throw around, they could at least buy a FEW people with a little backbone.

Otherwise it is urinating into the wind.

Does anyone have a list of the Koch’s businesses? Sure would like to patronize their competitors.

If the price is surrender of a vital interest, they can keep their money.

They are a cheap labor cartel-—Americans for Prosperity is a front group not much different from what Soros finances-OPEN BORDERS FOR ALL. They desire a return to feudalism.

No they aren't. Maybe in the same region, but not even in the same ballpark. But how stupid is this:

They've run ads on wasteful spending against Rep. Lou Barletta (R-Pa.), who is challenging Sen. Bob Casey Jr. (D-Pa.) in another state Trump won in 2016.

Every congress critter votes for pork for their own district if they want to stay in office. And Casey is far worse in this category than Lou Barletta. Their real problem with Lou is that he is not a GOPe lackey who supports open borders. In fact, he has been calling for meaningful enforcement, including a wall, before Trump ever ran for president.

The question for me is, how do we hurt the Koch brothers? This is a culture war. You choose sides. They are choosing the wrong side. Losers need to take damage. How do we hurt them?

By the Koch brothers not supporting Republicans willing to fight the enemies of the Republic, the anti-Capitalist Democrats, they are cutting their own throats. How is it that they fail to see what the conflict is about? Has all that focus on their business affairs taken them away from matters deeply threatening America’s future success? It seems to me that their “I got mine,” is all that matters and the country can slip off the edge.

Some of these GOP candidates can pick up a lot of support from Democrats and Independents if they publicly call out the Koch brothers as a couple of repulsive characters who are a stain on the U.S. political scene.
