The Club for Growth, a conservative advocacy organization, is taking aim at Missouri Democratic Sen. Claire McCaskill, focusing on past domestic violence accusations against her husband.
“Claire McCaskill has been giving the back of her hand to voters and padding the pockets of her family for a generation… her husband’s treatment of women and her turning a blind eye while funding the agencies that pay her own family is hypocrisy at its finest. Missourians deserve better,” Club for Growth spokeswoman said in a statement provide to the Washington Examiner.
The group noted that Suzanne Shepard, the ex-wife of Joseph Shepard, McCaskill’s husband, had filed for an order of protection from Shepard, the Examiner reported.

It’s amazing how people in MO can fall for her but hopefully won’t do so again. But “Show Me” how she loses.
They’d better have more evidence than just a PFA order filed during a divorce.
Protection orders are often used as tactical weapons during divorce/custody issues.
Dumb move. Going after spouse is never good levee it up to others.
Protection orders are misused all the time. Just because one was filed means nada zilch zero.

Well I know for a certainty that an order of protection is very difficult to secure here in Illinois. Maybe they are easier to obtain in Missouri.

My ex wife got one in IL in less than 2 hours. Took me a month, $5,000, and threat of a prosecution for perjury to get it lifted. Granted that was 15 years ago.

That’s surprising as I was with my sister as she begged for a week and only at the last minute did they grant her one. The ex has slashed tires, made horrible threatening phone calls which were recorded, left items smashed on the driveway. Pri** just died a few months ago after 50 years of drug and alcohol abuse.
Sorry your experience was the opposite and this was also round about 15 years ago!
