First of all, the tariffs proposed and imposed are very tightly focused almost all on China. The effect on ordinary Americans is near zero.

If you are a steel distributor purchasing agent, buy American steel or if the American supplier can’t deliver buy from India or another non tariffed country.

Tariff payment is optional, elective. To avoid a tariff, do not buy the product.

China might actually continue to buy soy beans they have tariffed simply because thaere is no other source than the American mid west.
