Koch-Backed CATO Institute: ‘Time for the U.S. to Have Open Borders’
Breitbart ^ | 31 July 2018 | John Binder

Posted on 08/01/2018 4:58:53 AM PDT by Magnatron

The Cato Institute, a think tank partially founded by the billionaire, pro-mass immigration Koch brothers, is advocating for full open borders to the United States. In an op-ed for USA Today, the Cato Institute’s Director of Economic Studies, Jeffrey Miron, says the U.S. “has nothing to fear, and much to gain, from open borders,” saying that Americans should “forget” about putting a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border to stop illegal immigration.

Miron downplayed the negative impact open borders would have on American citizens, writing:

Immigrants will not flood into America, although the rate of immigration might increase. Instead, much of the immigration will be temporary. Return migration happens because most people want to be near their families, surrounded by their own language, culture or religion.

Crime will not skyrocket. Available evidence shows that immigrants are no more crime-prone than natives. And the additional immigrants likely to enter under open borders would plausibly be even less so, because they have shown respect for the law by not immigrating illegally.

Globalists want no borders. If there are no borders, what is anyone the President of?

Snort.

We’ve had open borders. For decades.

That’s the problem.

Guess they haven’t been to El Paso, Los Angeles, Dearborn, or Montgomery County Md recently...

My guess is these illegals won’t be living in Koch’s neighborhood.

Or in any of the CATO members neighborhood.

Koch and Soros with the same agenda.

No. Isn’t anyone paying attention? We’re seeing Europe virtually, no scratch that - literally destroyed by immigrants.

most people want to be near their families, surrounded by their own language, culture or religion

That's why they want to bring their WHOLE family with them.

The Koch brothers are the enemies of America in the same vein the Bushes are the enemies of America.

It saddens me that they are insulated by their money.

Justice will never reach them, and that’s a tragedy.

>>what is anyone the President of?

President of the labor force that is hungry and ripe for the MNCs to exploit for the gain of the few. With that kind of “free market” in place, even the most rock-ribbed conservative will start to think that socialism is a better way than the Koch’s neo-feudalism.

The leftist freaks have been trying to convince the world for years that the Kochs represent us conservatives.

Right.

That is why 22% of people in America now do not speak English at home. That is with the current border controls.

There are upwards of 200 million South of the Border. They do not speak English. They are experienced in living under corrupt governments where you bribe officials to get anything done.

This is an excellent way to destroy America as we know it.

These people are truly frightening because they have lost the ability to think rationally. Honestly, stop listening to John Lennon and wake up from your severe intellectual coma.

Well, that’s it. The Kochs have ruined Cato. Once upon a time a good think tank, now shown to be bought and paid for shills.

Meant to have been “200 million who want to come to the United States” South of the Border.
