President Donald Trump has made it clear that immigration will be a major campaign issue for him, in both the midterm elections and in his own re-election bid, and that was evident at the president’s rally in Florida on Tuesday.
“Republicans want strong borders and no crime. Democrats want open borders, which equals massive crime,” he said. “And on top of that, the Democrats…they’ve launched outrageous attacks on our incredible law enforcement officers and on ICE and our Border Patrol — can you believe it? People that keep us safe.”

OOOOPS. personally I believe we should end dual citizenship Senators and Congressmen, and dual citizen politicians of any kind, BUT I’m kinda’ fond of Ted Cruz and he would be ousted, and probably lots more who have good heads on their shoulders. What to do????

OOOOPS again. Ending dual citizenship in voting would be a problem for me, this “baby” would be flung out with the bathwater, and I’m a true blue conservative. You could not renounce your British citizenship prior to 1958, so I’m a dual national whether I like it or not, even tho’ I’ve been here since age 11.

I hate to rain on everyone’s parade, but consider the Real ID Act of 2005. The initial compliance deadline was 2008. As the mandatory compliance date approached...many states weren’t in compliance. An extension was granted...and then another one...and then another one. The most recent extension bumped compliance out to 2020. At this point, a little over half the states have complied. The ones that haven’t are your typical democrat bastions of resistance...some even passing resolutions opposing compliance.
As much as I’d like to see a Voting ID...good luck getting it to go nationwide.
What a novel approach.
Voter ID would be the end of the Dems.
