Trump’s Immigration Reforms Are Boosting U.S. College-Grads

President Donald Trump’s pro-American policies on immigration are successfully pressuring U.S. companies to hire American business-school graduates instead of foreign graduates. Companies “have been hiring [foreign graduates] not because they are needed, but because it is easy and they could get away with paying them less,” said Jessica Vaughan, policy director at the Center for Immigration Studies. She added:

As soon as there is resistance from the government, they find another way, they start actually recruiting Americans and legal immigrants instead of [foreign] guest workers … [because] they want a [legally] stable worker force as a well as a cheap one.

The 2018 Corporate Recruiters Survey, conducted by the Graduate Management Admission Council, reported in June that “forty-seven percent of US companies plan to or are willing to hire international talent in 2018, down from 55 percent that had such plans in 2017.”

Amazing this has been going on and no one stood up against it. Kinda suggests we are all sheep waiting to be led.

I’ve posted it here several times. I’m a consultant and do projects for major US banks. I am not kidding when I say literally 1/4 of the people working in white collar back office jobs like accounting, audit, IT, risk management, project management, etc etc are Indians. Honestly, I think 1/4 is an underestimate. It might be more like 1/3rd.

Its ridiculous. Those should overwhelmingly be Americans in those jobs. You cannot tell me that you can’t find Americans who are capable of doing those jobs. Its not rocket science. It doesn’t require a masters in computer engineering. My friend in the banking industry in New York says its the exact same thing with the banks up there.

Companies have simply been able to get away with importing a foreign workforce because they’re cheaper. No, these are not “jobs Americans are unwilling to do”. These are middle management type jobs that generally pay between $70,000 and $130,000 per year. Though I’m sure a bit less if you’re an Indian on a work visa. This needs to be drastically curtailed and Americans need to be in those jobs again.

I guess these foreign students don't want to go back home and "help develop their own country"...

I thought that was the main reason why we allow foreign students to take seats that would normally go to US citizens

I’m in Scotland right now(and you’re not-lol). Every young worker here is from somewhere else in Europe. Not making much money but they have jobs. I would say that it’s governments that get in the way of prosperity. Some places are ungovernable with freedom and require a strongman willing to kill. Think Saddam. Venezuela would have to be taken over by the UN only after they vote the Socialists out. They brought it on themselves.
