Paul Manafort. Tony Podesta. Tad Devine. Greg Craig.
Manafort worked for Trump. Tony Podesta is the brother of Hillary Clinton’s campaign manager. Tad Devine was Bernie Sanders’ chief strategist. Greg Craig was Obama’s White House Counsel.
All four men also, directly or indirectly, allegedly did work for the European Centre for a Modern Ukraine. And the ECFMU was allegedly a front for Yanukovich's Ukrainian pro-Russian faction. Manafort and the Podesta Group had failed to register as foreign agents. Tad Devine had worked for Manafort on the Ukraine project. Craig had written a report on Ukraine for one of Manafort’s lobbying efforts.
But only Manafort had the predawn raid, the solitary confinement and the high profile show trial. Mueller referred Podesta’s case to the Southern District of New York, which has been doing some of his dirty work, even though the Podesta Group was based out of Washington D.C. Tad Devine was called as the first witness at Manafort’s trial. (Next up was Daniel Rabin, a Democrat ad man who had worked with Manafort on Ukraine and who had worked on Martin O’Malley’s presidential campaign. O’Malley’s partner had been O’Malley’s campaign manager and was a former Obama senior advisor.)
Podesta, Devine and Craig are getting a pass because it’s not really about Manafort. It’s about Trump.

Remember, when Mueller was FBI Director, the FBI investigated this and found nothing there. All of a sudden, when it's politically expedient, Mueller suddenly thinks there is a crime that he and his guys determined wan't one when they investigated it years ago.
Robert Mueller is a corrupt individual who is willing to break the law to get what he wants.

I’m worried about the DC trial. The judge is a big time dem and I seriously doubt if there will be a fair trial.

Judge Ellis will give the prosecution problems but in the end Manafort will get convicted. Ellis will protect the record for the appeal process. Remember Ellis is keeping Manafort jailed in solitary to play along with Mueller’s squeezing. The judicial system is corrupt just as a banana republic.
A fair trial in DC? Hardly a jury of your peers if you are a white conservative.
Ellis is not keeping him in jail, the Dem DC judge is.

Why do people keep propagating this lie?
I’ll wait and see what the outcome is. We have seen people in the GOP who talk a good game, and express all the appropriate anger, but wimp out in the end, giving the bad guy nothing more than a ‘very stern lecture’. I’m thinking of people like Trey Gowdy and Darrell Issa. I know Ellis is a judge, not a politician, but the dynamic is the same.

Unless the internet is wrong, this judge was appointed by President Ronald Reagan. I just rechecked it, yes, T.S. Ellis was appointed by President Reagan.

Yes but HE is the judge for the Virginia trial. The DC trial judge was appointed by Obama.
WTF was Rosenberg thinking? Revenge for not putting him at the head of the FBI. With this kind of reaction to disappointment, he shouldn’t be dog catcher.
