As I read it, he already plead guilty to lesser charges in exchange for this testimony.

Must be getting rusty. A whole article about the Manafort trial from leftist Reuters and they didn’t mention Russia once.

And Mulehead wants Manafort to make up stuff on Trump.

Mulehead is also engaged in witness tampering.

In a criminal case, it’s always nice to have someone else to point a finger at. Gates should do nicely. The prosecution has established that Manafort was so disengaged from what Gates was doing that he didn’t even know that Gates was siphoning off money.

As a jurror, I hear “I stole money from my boss”, and I think why waste my time with the rest of his testimony?

"...Manafort had asked him to omit information in a court deposition regarding a private equity fund."

Where's the proof of Manafort's request? What info did Manafort specifically ask Gates to omit? Where is the original deposition on this private equity fund? Did anybody bother to ask for details? Gates admits to being a thief, then the jury is expected to believe him when he says Manafort asked him to omit info?

I love how liberals claim that using torture to get info from people is bad because after a while, they'll say anything you want them too. Same thing goes for cutting a deal with prosecutors. People will lie their azzes just to get a deal.

It gets better. The prosecution asked Gates if he had ever lied under oath before and he said YES. And this is their star witness? Maybe they meant Starr witness.

Whatever crimes Gates and Manafort commited it was not connected to the Trump campaign.

Manafort was a well known sleaze ball long before Trump hired him. Why he did I’ll never understand. Probably because the Ted Cruz campaign inspired Trump black list was in effect at the time and no one else would take the job.
