InfoWars Ban: CNN, Democrats Successfully Lobby Big Tech to Censor Their Critics
Breitbart ^ | 6 Aug 2018 | Allum Bokhari

Big tech’s coordinated purge of InfoWars — which was hit by bans from Apple, Facebook, Spotify and YouTube in rapid succession — did not occur in a vacuum. On this issue, Silicon Valley bowed to CNN journalists and Democrat politicians who ceaselessly lobbied for the site to be censored. It’s a sign of how the concentration of power in America has shifted from big government to big tech that politicians are now lobbying tech companies rather than the other way round, but that’s exactly what happened over the course of the past few months, as Democrats applied relentless pressure on Facebook and other Silicon Valley giants to censor InfoWars.

Chief among them was Democratic Congressman Ted Deutch (D-FL), who demanded that a Facebook representative “explain” their decision not to ban InfoWars at a House Judiciary Committee hearing on social media censorship last month. Calling Jones as “well-known conspiracy theorist” whose “brand is bullying,” Deutch also demanded Google’s representative explain how many strikes it would take for a channel on Google-owned YouTube to be deleted.

He then asked Google’s representative if they thought conspiracy theories were a “problem,” and asked her to explain the company’s planned solutions. It seems that YouTube has now come up with a solution: ban the channels that Rep. Deutch objects to.

Well, big tech needs to be declared a monopoly under the Sherman Anti Trust Act.

We need all sorts of entry level tech firms.

Conservatives MUST stop supporting these commie socialist entities.

The pendulum swings both ways. Big Tech should watch out and keep their necks out of the way of that swinging blade.

I wouldn't be a bit surprised if this sparked a huge movement to use alternative media sources that are not biased.

No, that is what they want us to try. Instead, start NEW companies, and let’s pick apart the layers of the onion about how these tech companies got to be so big????

They were planted by the DNC, Goldman Sachs part of it, the SP500 managers were part of it, money flow into index funds part of it....they ran an illegal money losing scheme to build revenue with ZERO profit...

“...IF republicans were smart...”

We have a real problem here...and they are NOT fighters either. They are letting the Marxists take over the country.

These companies are quaking in their bunny slippers over Infowars - they just revealed that. Well, now I’m much more impressed with Infowars.

There is some movement in that direction already. For someone with a lot to invest, it would be a colossal return.

If they succeed in deep-sixing InfoWars, it won’t take long to get around to Drudge and FR.

As a matter of fact, there’s a plan for that.

The reason you thought he was full of it was because the gaslighting press told you he was full of it.

Do you see a pattern there?

And what exactly are the GOP’s gutless wonders on Capitol Hill going to do about this coordinated shutdown by the tech oligarchs of the social media presence of an organization disliked by liberals?

The answer is disturbing while simple:

Make it against the law to discriminate based on political belief, just like all the protected classes.

Also, someone somehow needs to loudly point out that the “press” as a definition is not defined by anyone. So, Acosta cannot complain about freedom of the press issues (ha) while helping suppress other press outlets.
