European firms that stop doing business with Iran because of reimposed U.S. sanctions could in turn be sanctioned by the E.U., a special adviser to the 28-country bloc's top diplomat has warned.

“If E.U. companies abide by U.S. secondary sanctions they will, in turn, be sanctioned by the E.U.," Nathalie Tocci, an aide to E.U. foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini, told Britain’s BBC Radio 4 on Monday night.

A good reason to pull out of the EU for all those countries...they’re already exercising communist threats over everyday people for not cow-towing to the “government”.

EU is slowly becoming a dictator state with Merkel at the helm...after all, look what she’s done for Germany.

Their decision, but they won’t be doing business with the US if they continue.

Hopefully this will start a domino effect which will end with the dissolution of the EU! Interested to know Nigel Farage’s thoughts!

Someone is going to have to explain to me how the EU is considered an ally. In what sense? They are allies as long as the U.S remains stupid and refuses to do what is in their national interest. If the U.S deviates, the EU is NEVER on the side of the U.S. I think Trump is the only person in power who is able or willing to see this.

Time to call in the head of the EU and tell him and his group to go to hell. High tariffs on their products should do the trick.

Why doesn’t the U.S ever play hardball with the EU. IF anyone country sanctions a company as a result of following the U.S lead on sanctions they will not be supported in the event that Russia attacks.

Disagree. The trouble makers are all a part of NATO, refuse to implement article 5 if they are not in compliance with U.S law :)

uh, yeah. somehow i don’t think the pro-Iran EU government can force its giant banks and multinational corporations to commit harakiri by forsaking massive U.S. trade in favor of minuscule Iranian trade ... their so-called “blocking” legislation is nothing more than impotent posturing ...
