Best response, go, boost Cruz, and act like nothing's wrong. Y'know, because apparently, nothing's wrong. Thanks detective.

I think Trump will appreciate that kind of gall and he will do it.

“No I think it was Cruz not endorsing him even after the President gave him a prime speaking spot at the convention. What an ass. Anyway, he needs to be in the Senate.”

That and the whole never-Trumper scheming up to the convention to somehow deny it to Trump. I won’t flame him and I certainly prefer him to a Democrat, but I’ll never trust him either.

“No mention of Ted Cruz can be tolerated without the usual suspects flaming him for the unpardonable sin of having run against Donald Trump in the primaries.

Really, you think people are not mad because he told people not to vote for Trump when he said, “Vote your conscience”?

Just don’t get any ideas, Ted. You are not qualified by the Constitution.

Maybe Trump will forgive but I haven’t forgotten:

The gloves are finally off between Ted Cruz and Donald Trump, even if Cruz would rather have kept them on.

After the Texas senator got caught on tape criticizing Trump’s “judgment” at a private fund-raiser, the divisive billionaire took aim at the man he said weeks ago could be his vice presidential pick. Cruz is trying to downplay the slight, but Trump is already snarling.

“Looks like @tedcruz is getting ready to attack. I am leading by so much he must. I hope so, he will fall like all others. Will be easy!” Trump tweeted Friday morning.

for the unpardonable sin of having run against Donald Trump in the primaries.

You are a liar.

Typical Cruz supporter, Cruz always brought out the worst in people, in this case your lying side.

I agree. True the President would be slitting his own throat, potentially throwing under the bus someone who supports him in the Senate right down the line, but it sure would feel good! Great advice

“U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz has asked President Donald Trump to come to Texas to campaign for him.”

Of all the nerve of this jagoff after blaming Trump for the Emanuel/Antifa riot in Chicago which caused him to cancel.

###Cruz is a Deep State swamp critter! Just why should Trump help him?###

Because nobody want to say Senator O’Roark (D) Texas

Is Cruz is in that bad a shape that he needs Trump’s endorsement?

My friends: The fact that he might need help is trouble. Should he lose then he’s next in line for SCOTUS. Best to do it in an election year. That means 2020. An appointed Rick Perry would guarantee a kept seat but then Cruz should be a majority leader asap.

I don’t like Cruz but we need him in the Senate and Trump should absolutely do everything he can to help him be reelected. Living as I do in Illinois, I would crawl over a mile of broken glass to vote for Cruz if he were running in this state.

To some the perfect is always the enemy of the good, and personal likes/dislikes really are irrelevant. I once hired a real estate agent who I thought was a total ass because he claimed he was going to get me more for my property than anyone else could. We should vote for those who will get the kind of results we want in government.

President Trump should call Cruz in and quietly say “Remember when you did not endorse me after the nomination??? I do...”

The president Trump should say “Ted, I’ll campaign for you and endorse you as long as you will swear to me right here and now that you will never treat me again as you did then..”

I hope Trump shows up, says “vote your conscience,” and leaves.

And we all know when Rafael Cruz said it, it was, "eff this guy, don't support Trump"....Karma is a b*tch.

Perfect.

The Texas Senate race between Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and Rep. Beto O’Rourke (D-Texas) is neck and neck, according to a new poll released Wednesday.

The 2018 Texas Lyceum Poll showed Cruz leading O’Rourke by a hair — 41 percent to 39 percent, respectively, among likely voters. That’s well within the survey’s margin of error of 4.67 percentage points of 441 likely voters.

That’s a particularly tight margin for Texas, which has not elected a Democrat to the Senate in three decades.

Apparently it is close enough to be concerned.
