Dumb, dumb, dumb. Of course, Congress in general is privileged to all kinds of insider info and I think underhanded trading happens way more frequently than we know.

Would love to see FINRA do a closer examination of the friends and families of Congress types and the trades they make.

Strange that Bill and Hill Clinton, Pelosi,Maxine Waters could amass multimillion dollar fortunes while being “public servants.” The only ones charged are Republicans.

A Congressional investigation was started over a year ago.

If he’s wrong then he deserves what he gets. Of course though we all know that their is a double standard.

CNN couldn’t resist in their stories that this fool was the first on Capital Hill to endorse Trump.

Oct 2017

(CNN)The House ethics committee is investigating New York Rep. Chris Collins, the first Republican on Capitol Hill to endorse Donald Trump’s presidential campaign, for potentially violating federal law and House rules regarding insider trading.
The outside, non-partisan Office of Congressional Ethics began a review of Collins’ activity in March and voted to send its findings to the House ethics panel in July, which can formally launch investigations and recommend any sanctions against any lawmaker it determines has broken any rules. The ethics committee announced in the release of the report that it would start a review of Collins.
The report details how Collins met with officials at the National Institutes of Health to discuss the development of a drug made by Innate, a company whose board he served on.

So where’s the Pewlosi and MARXine Waters investigations? These idiots are lucky to be able to know how to tie a knot...much less understand the stock market.

The pawn was sacrificed. The bishops can be taken and when there is whining, point to the lost pawn.

It’s 3D chess. Remember?

My congressman. This is the same district that had Chris Lee as a rep, he of the shirtless photo from a few years back. Not a huge fan of Collins since he seems to be more of a RINO, but he did come out in support of Trump early on. He might be guilty of what he is being charged with, but with midterms a few months away, Democrats and their supporters in the government agencies might be mining the same "corrupt Republicans" theme that they used in 2006 to regain control of Congress.

Putting yet another GOP CD in jeopardy at this really late stage heading to the Midterms. What upstate NY GOP candidate is ready to step in and hold this seat???

Also, it’s a damn shame that both President Trump’s original House endorser (now Collins) as well as his premiere Senate supporter (the worst Attorney General in U.S. history/Sessions) have totally screwed up!!!

They aholes never learn... they believe they’re the ones who will slide by undetected. That dems who have committed equally heinous crimes aren’t similarly accused is irrelevant. Every GOPer should by now grasp the fact the bar is simply higher for them.
