I was busy getting ready to head out for a Medicare “wellness check” when the storm moved in and didn’t have time to stand outside with the camera. And didn’t have the camera with me when I came back from town to catch the bolts in the storm that passed by at that time. Darn the luck.

But more storms are supposed to come through tomorrow so maybe then.

I hope y’all get rain tomorrow! Cooler temps will be great, too, but you need rain badly.

Thank you, we sure do. I’ve got my fingers crossed.

Darn ol’ wellness check. Otherwise you’d have been able to get some cool shots. I hope you get a good report!

Thanks, Kathy. You too...unless you’ve gotten caught up on rain up there. I hope so, so there won’t be any more wildfires. We ALL need to pray for CA. They are facing a real horror!

I just peeked at the radar and it’s lookin’ mighty good for y’all. Rain heading your way now. Might even get some good light shows with it.

I do a VERY basic wellness check, just so Medicare knows I’m still alive and kickin’. LOL! None of the extra tests because we simply can’t afford it right now. Aunt Clara in the nursing home for almost 6 years now has wiped us out.
I do have to go back for a fast blood draw. I expected it today and fasted last night, but they didn’t do it. I’ll go back to have that done soon.
What they checked today came out ok though. I should live another year. :-)

Well, that’s good to know. Shouldn’t Medicare pay for all the tests? I think they do ours. However, we do have a supplement, so maybe they don’t. I can understand why you might not have it. Gets more expensive every year. Thanks, obama, you putz!

I don’t go to a doctor unless it’s absolutely necessary.

I don’t have a supplement plan so have to pay part of the bill. As expensive as tests are, it’s just more than we can swing right now. Gotta sell that Bel Air to give us some breathing room.

The dr. isn’t all that concerned, apparently, since he didn’t push it. Just recommended, as I’m sure he does with all his patients.

Until last year when I went for the first wellness check - - because I had to - - I hadn’t been to a doctor since 2002. I was VERY fortunate to be blessed with a strong immune system. I haven’t even had a cold in over 4 years.

How long this luck will hold out, who knows? For now, I am grateful for what I have.

You are very lucky indeed. Not many people can say that, and it sure does save on medical bills. And needing insurance. How did you handle obamacare...or is that a subject best left alone? ;)

I have never had many ailments either. My employers always bragged that I was never sick. One year, 2013, I had several things go wrong...plantar fasciitis, shingles and a torn rotator cuff, but before or since then, barely a cold. Allergies are my worst gripe. LOL!

We ignored obamacare and nothing happened. You have to have a tax refund coming to you for them to steal the fine from, and we don’t have that.

Hubby is lucky enough to have a strong immune system, too, and we’re both grateful. It certainly does save a lot of money.

Allergies and a bit of arthritis are the only things that plague us and we just live with them.

Great that you were able to do that. It’s been such a nuisance to so many. A lot of the girls I worked with had their hours cut to less than 30 a week so our employer wouldn’t have to provide them with insurance that they didn’t want or need...being really young and healthy.

So glad y’all are healthy! it’s worth a lot, especially peace of mind. I always feel that if I know what is causing discomfort, it’s easier to live with. LOL!

Howdy, E.G.C.

It’s going pretty good here. How’s it going there?

Did you finish getting your new scanner set up the way you want it?

GRRRRR! That 30-hour work week deal is really rotten. That hurt a lot of folks.

Not working for someone else saved us since there was no withholding to deal with. Just filed on the farm income. No refunds.

We hope our good health holds out. We know we’ve been lucky but when you get older, who knows what will happen?
As long as allergies are the worst of it, we’re all doing pretty good, right? LOL

Y’all are doing great! Keep being healthy.

I guess I’ll go. My WiFi is out for some unknown reason, and I’m sending this via my phone. See ya tomorrow. Guess I’ll get a little extra sleep tonight. LOL!

Hmmmmm, I wonder if the weather is affecting your WiFi. I have no idea how that stuff works since we don’t have it. Well, we do but we don’t have it turned on because we’re hard-wired.

Sleep well. I hope what’s on the radar gives y’all a nice soaking!
