The Russians have stated their goal is to destroy our faith in our voting system. Getting caught with their hand in the cookie jar would only further that effort IMO.

The dims stand to gain from this if they lose, they have a great fall guy, as long as the steps taken to keep the Russians out are not too strong. And how long have the DemoRats resisted voter ID? The Russian stuff is a distraction to draw attention away from some of their other tentacles creeping in.
