President Trump on Thursday blamed Chicago leaders for what he described as an unbelievable surge in gun violence in the city, his first public comments since more than 70 people were shot there over the weekend. Trump, who has threatened to send in federal officers to manage Chicago's crime and violence, brought up last weekend's violence during his opening remarks at a roundtable discussion on prison reform.
"We must strengthen community bonds with law enforcement, including city's like Chicago that have been an absolute and total disaster," Trump told the room of governors, attorneys general and White House staff at his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey.
"And we'll be talking about Chicago today because that is something that in terms of our nation nobody would believe it could be happening," he added.

I love what they are doing. I’ve always hated the “disposable” people attitude. You can’t fix them all but you can fix some and that is what matters.
There was a viral tweet today of some black guy demanding Rahm Emanuel step down. The responses all directed at Trump’s account to help out and do something. I think he saw them. That’s what I love about him. He pays attention.
He is right to criticize the leaders of Chicongo.
We only watch the weekend box scores of dead and wounded, but this happens mid-week as well.
It does not seem to be very well organized.
Maybe the Kenyanesian Usurper can help them with that.
PS Remember the foie gras ban in Chicago on 2006? Overturned in 2008! Remember the soda tax of 2017? Overturned within 2 months! Chicago is the home of distraction politics, after all it is easier to control sugar that violence, especially in the city with such strict gun control!

If Trump were not mired down in all the Mueller crap, I’d bet he’d declare martial law in Chicago and put the Guard Troops in the neighborhoods where the violence occurs with orders to shoot anyone who even farts in their direction. The south side of Chicago needs some “vigilante justice.” The only way it will get better is when the Black criminal element starts taking heavy losses.
I remember in the “1965 LA (Watts) Riots,” my cousin, who was in the CA Guard, manned a machine gun at an intersection in the area where the riots were taking place. I just imagine a .30 cal. MG on a tripod surrounded by sandbags in the middle of an intersection would be “very intimidating.” That kind of show of force today might just get the Black’s “attention!”

Agreed. To the families who lost someone, the fatality rate is 100 percent. To think no one at City Hall gives a flip is pretty upsetting.

That would be true except there are no “leaders” in Chicago .... just mob and cartel bosses.
There is one group to blame for the violence in major coties, but nobody is allowed to speak the truth. Politicians can’t stop it; only those responsible can, and they won’t. All they do is hold vigils and march while criticizing the police and everyone else.
