It is sickening and evil that such a heinous man lived 33 years after the most brutal of crimes. God is dealing with him now and for all eternity. I weep for that little girl and her family.
The reason that all these gateways have been added is because the pro-death crowd wasn’t all that careful either about how it made its sausage. As we have found the hard way, a sheriff saying somebody’s guilty can be quite wrong.
That’s because while all murderers are horrible people, the right-wing ones are the absolute worst.

sounds like this little girl had a dysfunctional family, was not cherished as she should have been...reportedly walked 1/2 mile home in the rain to eat a cold supper of canned corn the day she was killed...

It was more than a sheriff saying he was guilty and 33 years is frickin’ joke.
This POS should have been put down within a couple of years....or less.
And people seem to wonder why some parents take the law into their own hands and kill these bassturds by themselves....can’t say as I rightly blame em a helluva lot with the jacked up, two-tiered justice system we have today.
One thing I learned from another article today (above) in The Tennesseeanis that the little girl's mother and stepfather had reason to believe that Irick was mentally ill, and knew for a certainty, that he'd been drinking and doing drugs --- yet they dumped their little girl in his "care" when they went off to work.
In so many of these hideous situations the parent(s) knew the "babysitter" was grossly unfit but left their child at his mercy anyhow.
I will never be able to understand that in a million years. A mother's instinct to protect her child is just so incredibly strong. But not, I know, for all.
Or at least hold the onions . Wouldn’t want one’s breath to offend

This is how God turns His wrath back from the enemies of the self-righteous... and I hate to say that, but religious self-righteousness is a BIG problem in that vicinity.
Those who want justice should begin by FEARING the LORD themselves. Your proposed plan would only bring wrath back on you.
So sad. How could a mother leave her child with such a deranged evil man. I wouldn’t have let him care for a house plant. It’s insane that sub- human lived off the taxpayer for over 30 years. The girl got no justice from our evil gov’t. I trust she rests in the presence of The Lord Jesus.
