A San Francisco Bay Area police chief said his family is "shaken to the core" after his son was arrested in the beating of a 71-year-old Sikh man.
Tyrone McAllister, 18, and a 16-year-old boy could face charges including attempted robbery, elder abuse and assault following Monday's attack in the city of Manteca. Police say they are investigating the attack as a robbery, not a hate crime, The Modesto Bee newspaper reported.
McAllister is the son of Union City Police Chief Darryl McAllister, who wrote Wednesday on Facebook that "words can barely describe how embarrassed, dejected, and hurt my wife, daughters, and I feel right now."

Oh, a picture is s worth a thousand words.
Maybe the boy has always been messed up, but going by the article, something happened two years ago, that set him off with all this anti-social behavior. I would not want him around my other kids, if there are any younger ones still at home. They would be directly influenced by him or more likely, harrassed. Something happened, but it’s too late now.
A fall like that could have killed an elderly person.

Attacks on Republicans is wide spread in California.
The intolerance in the state is disgusting. They should be ashamed.

As a SF resident at the time late 90s I think - Fajitagate - Police Chiefs son (also a police officer in SF) beat the hell out of a guy and stole his fajitas. Son was fired, chief retired soon after. Father and son got snot slinging drunk a year or so later down in Mexico in a public display.
And his father thought his kid was just normal and is shocked..yeah sure
