President Donald Trump is making life better for black Americans everywhere you look while his predecessor fumbled. But, hey, say his critics, not everything is perfect yet, so don’t give in to his policies. It’s an unbudging, self-inflicted blindness that can hardly be called racism, itself, even though it is similarly destructive.
The loudest Trump triumph of the moment has been dips to the lowest black unemployment in history, and get this: Jobs confer purpose, they provide pride, they build community, they set one up to help others, they enable social mobility, they lift the spirit. Welfare limps, jobs jog and you don’t get them through semi-socialist policies. You get them through deregulation and tax reform of the Trump kind, encouraging businesses to expand, lowering expenses and inspiring entrepreneurship.
Well, the critics say, there is still a large gap between black and white unemployment. Yes, there is, but you hardly address it by saying current job gains are therefore not that big a deal.
We’re told, too, that jobs multiplied during the Obama administration. They did, but slowly as black family income dropped, hindrances known as regulations abounded and President Barack Obama said manufacturing would never be the same again. Manufacturing is now taking off.
Also under Trump, crime has dropped significantly in our biggest cities from the last two Obama years, saving black lives. Here is a shift likely facilitated in part by Trump’s support of police. President Barack Obama wanted no one dead, but when there were police shootings of blacks, he exacerbated tensions with his references to systemic police racism.
Heather Mac Donald of the Manhattan Institute studied deeply and found the degradation and anger made police defensively less proactive in keeping cities safe. Studies actually indicate that police are just as likely to shoot whites as blacks, and Mac Donald shows how the right kinds of strategically devised police interventions can deter crime significantly.
Trump believes in being tough on crime, but he is not enthralled by mass incarceration in which thousands, many of them black, are subjected to cruel conditions leading to recidivism. He promoted a bill that would improve all sorts of flaws in the system, prepare prisoners for a fruitful life when released, and let 4,000 of them go, many of them ill and old. The bill passed the House 380 to 59 but the Senate has wanted sentencing reform, too, and guess what? Trump has said OK.
Although media fixation on the governmentally disruptive, largely unjustified and overreaching Mueller probe means little else of news value gets much attention, you might want to know that Trump is also behind an important effort to improve job training. Working with such big outfits as Walmart, General Motors and IBM, the president is helping to institute apprentice programs in needed skills to 3.8 million citizens.
It is just at 21 percent, but Trump’s approval rating among black Americans has improved, according to a poll by the NAACP. Compare that not just to earlier polls, but to the 8 percent black vote Trump received in 2016. The president of the NAACP, Derrick Johnson, has, however, underlined the 79 percent disapproval while referring to Trump as racist, divisive and the author of poisonous policies.
There’s no doubt that Trump was morally negligent in not immediately condemning the neo-Nazis in Charlottesville, as one example of his racial misdeeds. But much of the anti-Trump rhetoric on race is more emotion than analysis. He was, for instance, hit by liberals for calling some black neighborhoods “hell holes” in his presidential campaign, even as liberal themselves have done as much for years. A 2015 book backs them up. Entitled “Our Kids,” it is by Robert Putnam, a liberal professor at Harvard, and provides descriptions that will make you shudder.
Among blacks who see things differently from Johnson is Darrell Scott, a policy-attuned Ohio pastor who gets out among the people. He says Trump is the most pro-black president in his lifetime.
Even if that is going too far, Trump is in fact making a difference.

The “WALKAWAY” movement shows that more and more African Americans “get it” and have decided to just walkaway, even to runaway, from the hatred for blacks and for all who disagree with them on the left.

There is not one business of any kind, without help wanted signs here, and I’m seeing more black employees in the stores I frequent, than ever.

Because employers had to cut people from full-time jobs and make them part-timers to survive in the Land Of Obamacare. So employees had to find another part-time job to make ends meet. So, yes, the number of jobs multiplied. If a guy had ONE part-time job, and had to get ONE more part-time job, that’s TWO jobs instead of one. No benefits, but two jobs. Thank you, Hussein.

It’s what happens in the privacy of the voting booth that matters. No black will “Uncle Tom” it in public and praise Pres. Trump. Blacks have a strict code and script.

The man in the third video brought up the fact that wage disparity between blacks and whites has gotten worse since the 1950s and asks why. Thomas Sowell has spent his entire career explaining how life for blacks has actually gotten much worse because of the civil rights movement. He lived in Harlem in the 30s, 40s, and 50s and claims black owned businesses thrived, black families were mostly intact, and none of the violence blacks now experience in the inner city existed before the civil rights race hustlers turned their world upside down. Dr. Sowell is still with us, but being in his late 80s, hasn’t been giving interviews for quite sometime. However, he has a legacy of published work and it would be good for those in the #WalkAway movement to espouse the work of great black thinkers of the modern era such as Thomas Sowell and Walter Williams. The time is right for blacks to be made aware of economics through the common sense brilliance of Sowell and Williams.
There’s a lot of unreasoning hate among many (but not all... e.g. our good “black redneck” buddy Windflier) members of the American Negro community, and that game is coming very close to having squandered its resources.
I think there’s an allergy to going back to old fashioned Christian attitudes, because those are associated with coping during days of explicit slavery. “O Lord, my Lord” seems so yesteryear. But that in fact is the only sane attitude in this creation. It might take slavery to push one people group at one time into the corner of realizing that, but now there is a different kind of slavery going on, the soft slavery of the soft golden welfare shackles, and the soft whips of political polemics.
There is a valid conundrum here. Legalized civil rights casts a shadow of doubt over the achievements of American Negros. We get the soft bigotry of lowered expectations. And yet this still can be transcended by recourse to the Lord. Let the world underestimate you, dear downtrodden person whatever race or sex you are. Call upon the Lord, even at rock bottom, and ultimately surprise the whole world.
Both Presidents made it a goal to improve ALL America, not just the people who supported them in the election.

In the future, because of Trump, being called a racist will be a positive word, a compliment. it may mean uplifting, caring for minorities or something along those lines.
Word meanings change over time. For example, gay used to mean merry, happy, now it's a twisted human being. Positive words became negative, thus negatives can become positives.
All I'm saying is, give racism a chance.
Imagine if the mainstream media covered all of the positive things Trump has done for black Americans.
