Union privilege
More and more people are finding alternatives to the NFL.
A Broward County police union is calling for its members to return their Miami Dolphins tickets after some players protested during the national anthem at a preseason game this week!:

“Beef O’Brady’s will not be financially supporting the NFL this year due to their lack of compassion and gratitude for our American service members,” the poster read. “Our National Anthem is one of the methods we as American citizens have always used to show our appreciation to all military service members, past or present, alive or dead. This tradition deserves respect and unfortunately, the NFL does not feel that same way. So, for this season, we will not be purchasing the NFL ticket. Perhaps, it will make a difference if it hits their wallets.”
The left is playing both sides. They want the protests, but they also want the “macho” NFL to fail.
Just in time for the election too.
It appears that the animals depicted in the team name are a bit more intelligent than certain players.
All the protesters should just quit if that is their motivation. Make a real statement with your pocket book.

The Dolphins are in serious trouble.
Spent hundreds of millions on upgrading the Stadium, and STILL can’t get their betters to get with the program.
I predict LOW attendance this season.

Returning the tickets would only work IF their money is refunded. If the money is not refunded then what is the point?
IF they return tickets with no refund then the Dolphins can simply resell the tickets for even more profit.
Either way, the NFL wins. Sad but true.

Probably empty symbolism. Stadium security for NFL games is very often provided by off duty cops because stadiums cannot maintain a security force of that level for the once a week use they get. If the cops all called out sick for ONE game, just one, all this protesting would end. Because no security = no game. And that they would take very seriously. But the cops don’t. They can’t be too upset then, I guess.
I hate the NFL and won’t watch another game. I spend my weekends watching football on Saturdays and giving God his day on Sunday. Oh I almost forgot: I also have my honey do list on Saturday and Sunday. Somehow that list never seems to shrink, but I enjoy trying to complete it. :)
