Rep. Jim Jordan, the Ohio congressman who was spotted as a star by President Trump at a rally last week, is finally getting some vindication.
Turns out that an earlier smear-attack on him, put on by the left about how he supposedly ignored sexual abuse as a coach earlier in his career, reported copiously by the press, was fake and phony all along. Just as Thomas Lifson suspected from the get-go, calling it the work of "the left's personal destruction machine." Turns out the person who leveled the original charge has since recanted. According to the Daily Caller:
A former Ohio State University wrestler is recanting his claims that Ohio Republican Rep. Jim Jordan knew of sexual abuse allegations against a university physician when he coached wrestling at the school over 20 years ago.
“At no time did I ever say or have any direct knowledge that Jim Jordan knew of Dr. Richard Strauss’s inappropriate behavior,” Mark Coleman, a former MMA fighter who wrestled at Ohio State when Jordan coached there, said in a statement.
“I have nothing but respect for Jim Jordan as I have known him for more than 30 years and know him to be of impeccable character.”
Coleman is the first former OSU wrestler to recant his claims that Jordan knew about sexual abuse at the hands of Dr. Richard Strauss, an OSU physician accused of molesting dozens of student-athletes.
So there was nothing to it all along. Yet the press, which so loudly reported the original lie, has just minimally covered this recantation. Will they now report the recantation with as much vim and vigor as they did the original charges? If they don't, it's proof positive that the whole thing was a setup all along

I figured all along the goal was to cast enough doubt to prevent him from becoming Speaker, rather than really trying to drum him out of the House. The deep state can’t afford to have a non-puppet in that position.
Where does Jim go to get his reputation back?
Probably mission accomplished. Damage him enough to kill what little chance he had of stopping Ryan clone and hand picked successor McCarthy.
I don’t think so. Their playbook is so old and tired, I doubt that it has any effect anymore. The public is really tired of this stuff.
Jim Jordan did NOT suffer one centimeter of loss of reputation.
JIM AND HIS REPUTATION ARE ABSOLUTELY INTACT.
The person who started the lie will not suffer loss of any loss either...the people who will disgust reasonable observers will be:

I cannot believe they knew about the Mr. and Mrs. Ohr debacle and chose not to report. How’s that for sleaze?
Of course the whole thing was bogus, it was meant to destroy Jordan so he would resign..he didnt bite, he continued to fight, good for him..he should sue the bastards who made up lies about him!
There is little doubt that it’s a hack job when the investigation is conducted by Perkins Coie. I wonder who paid for it.

It is clear that the Democratic Party playbook is to smear any Republican with charges of sexual misconduct regardless of the truth.
Coleman got his jollies with the doctor, and then is a kiss and tell type. Not real classy.
They recanted after finding out their smear didn’t stick.
Thank God we’ve advanced far enough to see that the old pubic hair on a coke can trick is bogus.
I just did a quick search of the news for Jim Jordan and found three sources reporting the backtracking: NBC News, Fox News and the local ABC affiliate in El Paso, TX.
The other is sohhhhHHHH certain they are going to achieve majority status in November and they manufactured thus Craptastic take, to ensure Jordan will not become Speaker?
They are losing...
