You’re almost a New Yorker lol.
Here’s a video of the little ‘creek’ overflowing and sending all that water right into town......the street he’s taking this from is a little side street....it’s truly bad....

Several rafters are missing on the Lehigh River...a couple of rafts have turned up empty...more reports later.
Duke Center? Yeah, the places they are talking about are 100+miles from Eldred.
I can’t imagine. What a mess and it just keeps coming.
Glad your family is safe.
Not surprising.....several years ago our town lost a fellow who was whitewater rafting....left a wife and three kids. Why anyone would do this when warnings of flash floods is beside me!
I’m just sick about my hometown....but grateful no life has been lost so far.
Family is safe at home and well protected there.....we’re all staying in touch now, even though we’re located in different areas of the US, this is our hometown and we’re all concerned. Just too much rain!
Do you have food and safe drinking water....until this is over?
Those idiot rafters were found alive.

Yep..they got rescued. Jim Thorpe is where the Deleware Water Gap is...I’m not surprised they went out as whenever there’s a dam release it attracts people there.
I had dinner in the lookout restaurant that overlooks the area. It’s breathtaking beautiful!
Update :
Saw bulldozers working the streets today in the downtown area...the sludge etc. is awful of course. Streets are still closed as so many roads were gouged out from the waters so they all have to be tested and repaired. It’s going to be a huge work to get things back to Normal.
Rains continue on and off but not as hard and steady.
Thank the Lord you are safe. The people in NEPA are good folk and I pray that whatever damage the storm inflicted is remediated asap.
I’m on 305 1 mile north of the state line in NY, I do buy my snowmobiles from Dan Coast in Duke Center.
