A shooting at a Walmart north of Philadelphia wounded at least five people including a customer Tuesday evening before the shooter apparently escaped from the store -- and crashed a getaway car into a police SUV, reports said.
Police took the 30-year-old suspect, who has not been named publicly, into custody after workers at the Walmart in Cheltenham Township identified him, Fox 29 News Philadelphia reported. A woman was also reportedly apprehended.
The incident initially erupted as a disagreement at the register, during which a man took a firearm from a woman and opened fire, police told the outlet.
A store manager and cashier were shot in the leg while a customer was shot in the arm, another cashier, Darrell Archer, told the Philadelphia Inquirer.
A pregnant woman also fell during the incident, police told Fox 29.
It was not immediately clear why the suspect opened fire.

The woman was apparently his sister and is the woman who is in custody. Maybe she was the designated GUN-BEARER. ;-)

IIRC, earlier in the year a nutcase grabbed a baseball bat in a Walmart and started swinging at people. By the time police arrived 3 customers had already drawn their sidearms ready to confront him.

If you're a felon, then you can't afford to be caught in possession of a firearm, so you get your girlfriend to carry it for you. Many gang bangers have girlfriends buy guns for them as well, since the girlfriend will pass background check.
The story said that 22 different police departments responded to the scene and if true, shows a total waste of resources. Everyone wants to get their mug on TV.
Think about how many people, vehicles and time is required to converge 22 police departments on a place where shots were fired.
