"I'm not sure I even know what socialism is," Christine Hallquist, the nation's first transgender nominee for governor, told CNN's New Day on Wednesday.
"I'm not a person who's big on labels, because I've found labels are used to separate people," said Hallquist, who easily won Tuesday's Democrat primary election in Vermont and will now face incumbent Republican Gov. Phil Scott in November.
