A semi-retired Lutheran minister in Fredericksburg, Virginia faces the possibility of being evicted from a senior living community because he’s been hosting a small Bible study in the privacy of his apartment, his attorney alleges.
First Liberty Institute, a law firm that specializes in religious liberty cases, is representing Pastor Ken Hauge. The pastor has accused the management of The Evergreens at Smith Run of a pattern of verbal abuse and harassment directed at Christians who live in the complex.
“The threat of eviction follows repeated religious discrimination by The Evergreens management, including forcing Hauge to refer to his event as a ‘Book Review’ rather than a ‘Bible Study,’” First Liberty attorney Hiram Sasser wrote in a letter to the corporate owner of the community.

Yes. Anyone here, regardless of how you feel about FOXNEWS, should watch Tucker Carlson. He is the “Paul Revere,” of American journalism as he demonstrates night after night the cultural atrocities which are taking place to silence civilized people and hand them over to one dictatorship or another in this country. Intimidation and threats are key to understanding the left in America today. It is no different than the way Hitler’s brown shirts attacked the normal life and freedoms of certain people in that country in the late 30s. How America and its representatives can sit by and do nothing in the face of what is going on, is the mystery.

First, America’s representatives are largely in on it. They talk a good game during elections, but their actions speak loudly.
Second, the Progs control the media, education, and the courts that are willing to take action.
Third, the Progs have a united agenda. They all buy in on the whole thing, no matter how repugnant. Example: a pro-life Prog who considers himself to be a good Christian, but will defend every piece of the Prog agenda because he believes that it will all balance out. Yes, it is cognitive dissonance, but that’s how they vote, so the pathology is irrelevant.
Finally, we are good people who mind our own business. So, in the interest of live and let live, we alllow them to build entire constituencies from groups that should not be permitted to see the light of day. They use political Jiu-jitsu to use our own committment to freedom against us. If we stop believing in personal freedom, then we become them. If we don’t, then we have to accept “National Transgender Buddhists for Gun Safety and Wealth Redistribution” as a real thing. Becuase the Progs certainly will! If you push back against part of their agenda (i.e. gun “safety”), they attack us for being anti-Buddhist or transphobic. Then, the media, education, and the courts back them on it.
So, it will get worse. Much worse. There is no fixing it until they make their big play to take our freedom and then we decide: do I submit or do I shoot? But they won’t take them all at once. Which freedom do we use as a line in the sand? What if they know that and make that the last one they take?
Usually communism begins with the economics and then turns into totalitarianism as a matter of necessarily to make people do the work and obey the ideology. In the case of America’s Progs, they are creating the totalitarian state first and then giving us the economy. The bad part is that it is working. We are letting our rights be taken because we value our businesses, jobs, and our wealth more. We know the tiger will eat us. We just want to be eaten last.

In Russia, when the Communists began to persecute the churches, the average church saw attendance drop from 300 to 15. That was a 95% falling away. It will be no different here.

That’s the problem. In their eyes (and we know what happens when men do what is right in their eyes), they are following Christ because of Matthew 25:31-46. A Prog “Christian” will always go back to that.
Of course, “the least of these” is rarely the unborn baby to them, but as I said, many will be pro-life and will then be anti-border, anti-gun, anti-prison, pro-welfare, pro-UBI, etc and still quote the same verses.
They’ll also misquote Matthew 7:3-5 and ignore 7:1-2, Luke 7:3, and 1 Thess 5:14 to claim that the bible says to NOT judge (but ignoring what “admonish” means).
So, where does their Christian part start? Wherever THEY want it do, because Progressivism is Humanism and Humanism demands that Humans be their own God.
Your command of the relevant texts far surpasses mine. I usually think in terms of Leviticus 23:22 admonishing people to leave the gleanings (or edges or corners) of the harvest for the poor or the foreigner residing among you.
The New Deal and the modern welfare and immigration attitudes may have indirectly come from these. However, as Michael Savage reminds us the American “Lifeboat” is full. We have incredible national debt being wildly exceeded from its limits each year and passed on to grandchildren to somehow pay or have America go under and be enslaved (by Chinese or Russians or Muslims?
If too many millions (not an exaggeration) arrive illegally with their hands outstretched for full welfare,medical and surgical coverage,education for their children who speak one of 40 languages in a city school system like LA or NY, then the lifeboat will capsize and all die.
Then “the least among us” will be American taxpayers. Ask San Francisco,Chicago,NY and other sinking cities how they are coping with wildly rising costs.And the refusal to judge anyone does not consider our laws,police,deputies,judges,courts,juries and prison system..
