Rep. James Clyburn (D-S.C.) said he would step in to run for Speaker of the House if Democrats take back the chamber in November and Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) does not appear to have the votes, he told The New York Times.
The comments are the latest indication he is exploring a run for the Speakership.

Clyburn, who is currently the third highest ranking Democrat in the House, would be the body’s first black Speaker. He said his claiming the Speakership would “put to bed forever the notion that the Democratic Caucus is taking black voters for granted.”

This is all about the polls. The Dems are watching Trump’s approval rising among African American voters. If he gets anywhere close to that percentage voting for him in 2020, it’ll be 1984 all over again.

Unfortunately I was gerrymandered into Clyburn’s district which is the largest in South Carolina and keeps growing like a cancer. BTW, being white means I have no Congressman whatsoever.
That said, if the worst happened & he became speaker, SanFranNan would look Churchillian in comparison.

Congressman Clyburn is as unqualified as Nancy Pelosi to be speaker of the house.
He’s nothing but a privileged affirmative action candidate.
They have to win the danged House in November before he can become king of the hill.
Funny thing is, it was a DIMO-commie president named LBJ who hated blacks to the core, but he knew they could become the ATM card for the dims. He routinely called them the “N” word in the Oval Office. He did not care about blacks anymore than the elites of the leftists do today. The blacks are only a means to get elected. How many of the big Hillary type white elites, when they have all their big parties, invite a bunch of blacks?? Very few. When you see the pictures of those gangs of thieves, there is their token one or two blacks in a sea of white faces. Even the elite blacks don’t care about the poor blacks. They are only a vote for the dims. That is all those commie leftist’s want from them. Just vote for us and we will make sure you get that government check for $200 each month. How the heck far does $200 go??? Not far at all, yet they continue to vote for the dims. They continue to believe the lies. Dr. King was a republican. It took the Republicans in the House and Senate to get all the voting rights acts, civil rights act, that LBJ wanted. His own party would not vote those in. Republicans did. Yet, today, you cannot find 1 in 100 blacks that know that. They think the dims have done everything for them.
This is a great strategy for the Dims: replace one deranged lefty idiot with another deranged lefty idiot.
