Posted on 08/17/2018 8:40:24 AM PDT by wardaddy
Cardinal Raymond Burke has called for open recognition of the Catholic churchs homosexual culture in light of recent revelations of sexual abuse. I believe that there needs to be an open recognition that we have a very grave problem of a homosexual culture in the Church, Burke said in an interview Thursday, especially among the clergy and the hierarchy, that needs to be addressed honestly and efficaciously.
he former head of the churchs equivalent of the Supreme Court said it was already clear after the studies following the 2002 sexual abuse crisis that most of the acts of abuse were in fact homosexual acts committed with adolescent young men.
There was a studied attempt to either overlook or to deny this, he said, referring to the mainstream media cover-up of the homosexual nature of the abuse as well as such denial within the church itself.

Thank you Cardinal Obvious.
My apologies Mr Sidebar or Ms.
I didnt intend to attribute to both front page and current events
Either is fine
Hey its a start, He said more than Pope Francis
The Catholic Church has to get a grip on this.
“that needs to be addressed honestly and efficaciously.
Canon law deals with the problem just fine.
Is he suggesting that there is a connection between homosexuality and pedophilia?
Corruption only festers, the Church should have chosen embarrassment decades ago and rooted out the problem then instead of letting metastasize to the Curia.
He may be right, and it may be time it was said, but the backlash is going to be huge...
Well at least we have 1 Cardinal willing to say it. As long as Pope Frankie is there the poofters will continue to corrupt the Church from within. Gay collaborators are infesting the highest places in the Church.
But it should be repeated to numerous people, including many friends and acquaintances of mine, who keep intoning that so-called adult homosexuality and male-male pedophilia are completely distinct and unrelated.
Hmmm..... not one Scoutmaster in the lot
The queer infested Roman Catholic Church should go to the Boy Scouts of America and implement the BSA Youth Protection Training Program.
A lot of these cases that have come to light in Pennsylvania happened decades ago. The Church has made strides over the years to purge this. The problem is, old cases are still being discovered. It’s part of the purge.
Pope “And the issue is?”
Until the Pope clears out the gays that infest the Vatican, its all talk.
It starts at the top and has been present for multiple popes.
“Red Hot Catholic Love” is the 87th episode of the Comedy Central series South Park. It originally aired on July 3, 2002. It was selected No. 2 on the “10 South Parks that Changed the World” list, and was also part of “South Park's Dirty Dozen.” In the episode, Father Maxi travels to the Vatican to confront the growing problem of Catholic priests molesting children
Maxi gathered a meeting of Catholic priests in Colorado to discuss the problem of child molestation. Maxi is appalled by such behavior and wants it to cease entirely, but to Maxi's horror, all of the other priests there have molested their altar. Maxi decides he has to go to the Vatican. Once there, he quickly finds the same: priests from all over the world (and from other worlds, specifically an alien race known as the Gelgameks) are molesting children and claim they need to continue the practice to receive gratification. They claim the “Holy Document of Vatican Law” does not prohibit the behavior, so Maxi wants to change the canon law to outlaw sodomy, as well as to allow sex with women.
Kinda of like ‘nambla’ saying they aren’t interested in boys.
No. He is suggesting that the root problem is homosexuality (or probably more correctly pederasty) and not pedophilia, as a large majority of the abuses were committed on post-pubescent males.
I would love to believe that this is true. Where is your proof?
clear after the studies following the 2002 sexual abuse crisis
This had been a problem for decades before 2002.
I knew about it in the ‘80’s, so did the church.
Their response was to move the problem priests around, endangering more children.
