Resist We Much: Al Sharpton Misspells Aretha Franklin's Classic 'R-E-S-P-E-C-T' Lyric

Today, The Washington Free Beacon picked up an incredible soundbite of MSNBC’s Rev. Al Sharpton misspelling the late great Aretha Franklin's classic lyric, “R-E-S-P-E-C-T," as he attempted to lambaste President Donald J. Trump for saying that former White House staffer Omarosa Maginault Newman was "fired like a dog."

Rev. Sharpton began by noting how often President Donald J. Trump loves to use the term “fired like a dog” or some variation of it, such as saying “Sally Yates choked like a dog” during her Senate confirmation hearing. He even highlighted how the President referred to Steve Bannon, who is often vilified as being racist by the left, with the canine description. But then, he seems to insinuate the president called Omarosa a dog out of some sort of racial animosity. Sharpton reminds his audience that President Trump stated last year he would tell any National Football League coach to “get that son of a b*tch off the field” who was kneeling for the national anthem if he was an owner. Sharpton notes the athletes kneeling out or protest were predominantly African American players.

However, Sharpton believes the president might have met his match with Omarosa. “I think you might’ve learned the lesson this week, sometimes the dog bites back with a book deal," Sharpton said. “And while we’re talking about female canines, you know what they say about say about payback, it ‘s a real, well I’m sure you know the word I’m thinking of."

"So in the words of my late friend Aretha Franklin, show some R-E-S-P-I-C-T, and the next time you get a black woman and a beagle confused, remember this: I got you," Sharpton warned. (emphasis added)

Al Sharpton messes up spelling name of legendary Aretha Franklin song: 'R-E-S-P-I-C-T'

Some may blame this mishap on the teleprompter and a simple mistake in front of the camera. If that is the case, it should be noted this is not the first time his team has had communication issues. Readers might remember in 2011, Sharpton gave a rallying call of "Resist we much. we must. And we will much. About that be committed," to fellow progressives on the night of Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker's recall election.

Will we have a media and comedian meltdown over this misspelling, as we did for Dan Quayle misspelling potato?

On serious notes, is the media ever going to dig into Al Sharpton’s tax matters? Did he ever pay his back taxes?

I recall an interview, in which Al said what he was assesed were “old taxes”. So apparently, if you owe “old taxes”, as opposed to current year taxes, that clarifies the situations and closes the book on that subject.

Al has a record of being Ebonically-challenged when he tries to rouse the rabble.

From the New York Times...

2014...

“Mr. Sharpton has regularly sidestepped the sorts of obligations most people see as inevitable, like taxes, rent and other bills. Records reviewed by The New York Times show more than $4.5 million in current state and federal tax liens against him and his for-profit businesses.

And though he said in recent interviews that he was paying both down, his balance with the state, at least, has actually grown in recent years. His National Action Network appears to have been sustained for years by not paying federal payroll taxes on its employees.”

Al Sharpton is the perfect embodiment of the typical Democrat voter these days. Angry, activist, devoid of any real facts and stupid beyond belief.

Hillary, Bill, Nancy, Chuck, Barack, etc. all know this and take advantage of it. Daily.

It's pretty funny (and alarming) how liberals always claim how much smarter they are than conservatives.

And then they follow people like Al Sharpton, Nancy Pelosi, elect people like Maxine Waters, Hank “tip over” Johnson, Frederica Wilson, etc.

They're so stupid it boggles the mind. Someone else must feed them because they can't possibly be trusted to shove food into their own mouths.

Imagine if Trump had done that! cries of racism all over the place! Books written and published within one day on Amazon.com named “Respict.” Entire websites devoted to discussion of “respict.”

A google search shows that NONE of the mainstream media know anything about “sharpton respict.” huffington mentions the situation, but deliberately and intentionally omits mentioning the “spelling error.”

I’ll never forgive them for trashing Dan Quayle for “potatoe.”

Sexy people never have to announce that they are sexy.

Rich people never have to announce that they are rich.

Liberals announcing that they are smart only confirm that they aren’t.

BTW not saying they didn’t elect Nancy because they obviously did. I put her next to Al to show how dumb she is. She’s as dumb as Joy Behar.

But even they look like rocket scientists (not really) next to Waters, Johnson and Wilson.

I agree. And I see them do it all the time.

Their own (false) pride is why they can’t see through Barack and Hillary. They couldn’t be any more obvious.

Same with their minions.
