John Brennan Cites Fake News Date for Russia ‘Collusion’
Breitbart ^ | 19 Aug 2018 | Joel B. Pollak

Former Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) director John Brennan told NBC News’ Chuck Todd on Sunday’s Meet the Press that he learned since retiring that Russians began hacking Hillary Clinton’s emails on the day Donald Trump joked about it in July 2016.

The problem: that widely-cited claim is untrue — a piece of “fake news” evidence, drawn from one of the indictments by Special Counsel Robert Mueller, that has fueled unfounded theories that Trump colluded with the Russians during the presidential election.

Last week, Brennan wrote an op-ed in the New York Times in which he confirmed Trump’s joke at a July 27, 2016 press conference about inviting the Russians to find the 33,000 emails missing from Clinton’s illicit private server had prompted him to start a large counter-intelligence investigation into the Trump campaign. In addition, Brennan suggested that he had learned from media reports, since leaving his post in 2017, that there was further evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russian hackers.

The first attempts to supposedly "hack" Hillary Clinton’s emails were said to have occurred in March 2016, not July 2016, according to the Associated Press.

But it is known that the Russians never hacked the emails. The data was leaked by internal employees.

Brennan appears to be delusionary.

Does anyone else here get the impression that the ‘intelligence’ in the intelligence agencies is at the level of field investigators, with an ever dwindling supply the higher up the hierarchy one goes?

Perhaps Brennan knows who murdered Seth Rich and exactly why.

Brennan is a stupid man but he’s not delusional. He is stupid and treasonous.

“The fact that Brennan continues to cite mainstream media mistakes — including the erroneous interpretation of Trump’s joke as some kind of signal to Russia — suggests that he has also swallowed the media’s pronounced anti-Trump bias.”

Sounds more like brennan is grasping at straws to cover his hiney.

The only secrets kept by the intelligence agencies is information they don’t want the American people to have. Washington DC leaks like a sieve and there are traitors throughout the defense establishment, and contractors working with every government agency. The Chinese, Russians, Iranians, journalists in the US, bureaucrats in government agencies and politicians all know and share government secrets. When 2 million people have security clearance there are no secrets.

It is long past time to declassify most government information and let the American people know the truth about many people, agencies, and issues.

He is stupid and treasonous.

Is there a word that defines 'not that clever' succinctly?
Dunce, perhaps? Too strong?
Inept?
Stupid?

"Missed it by that much!"
A phrase will do in the place of a word.

Plus there’s a difference between Hillary emails......the DNC emails.....and Podesta emails

Those Hillary 33,000 emails are still missing. What were released were from the state department

The DNC emails are what the claim is that the Russians hacked and gave to WikiLeaks to help Trump

The Podesta hack was a phishing scam that Podesta allowed through on his own

I’m starting to come to the opinion that Brennan was the author and the main protagonist of the Dossier, and the reason he so vociferously defends and promotes it is because he knows he will have very serious fallout when this comes to light.

A great many top-level government bureaucrats are just bullies who are good at office politics/sucking up. They make friends with the right people, and they intimidate other people and that's how they rise up.

Intelligence and skills play almost no part in this.

I've know a lot of GS-15s, SES, and O-6 and above. On the whole, they are not impressive people at all. But you can go pretty far if you're just a great big jerk. Mind you, they all seem to think they outrank God.

"Missed it by that much!"

That's what John Brennan said as he passed through the line where they handed out brains. :)

Given the things he has been saying I keep wondering how long the "Deep State" (so to speak) is going to let him continue to use O2.

>>Former Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) director John Brennan told NBC News’ Chuck Todd on Sunday’s Meet the Press that he learned since retiring that Russians began hacking Hillary Clinton’s emails on the day Donald Trump joked about it in July 2016.

Hillary’s emails? NO those were all on Anthony Weiner’s laptop and the FIB tried to cover up that they had them and then claimed that the hundreds of thousands of emails they got were all duplicates of the 30,000 that the FIB had seen previously.

Besides we were told that Hillary’s server was never hacked. Since she bleached it, there can be no forensic review of any “evidence”.

The DNC server was allegedly hacked by “Russians” although wikileaks denies that was the source. The DNC refused to give the FIB access to their server. So again no legal forensic investigation.

Did the DNC server have a lot of relevant Hillary Clinton emails or were they just ABOUT her?

The missing emails Trump joked about (and it was a joke) were never on the DNC server or any longer on Hillary’s wiped server.

But it’s like the prosecution of Manafort. Misdirection, faulty time lines, and confusing the casual listener.

They have nothing except a bunch of corruption and coverup on their side.

How did the Russians “know” that the DNC colluded with the Clinton campaign and CNN to rig the 2016 primary? Just got lucky digging through emails?

That’s more like something a whistleblower insider would know and someone like Julian Assange would want to expose.

It wasn’t so much about “helping Trump” as it was exposing the Democrats and Hillary’s scampaign.

“On the whole, they are not impressive people at all. But you can go pretty far if you’re just a great big jerk.”

You just very eloquently captured the major problem in politics and the media who base their stature on politicians. It’s one big self-congratulatory cesspool of mediocrity. Thanks!

Trump wasn’t running against Hillary in March 2016. He was running against Rubio and Cruz.

he’s so stupid he couldn’t pour pi$$ out of a boot if the instructions were on the heel...

If brains were gasoline, he wouldn’t have enough to run a piss ant’s go-kart around the inside of a donut!

If his brains were gunpowder he wouldn’t have enough to blow his hat off.

The best thing that Brennan can do at this stage of the game is to keep his mouth shut.
