Amazon Bans Gun Book ("The Liberator")

Amazon banned the sale of a gun book on Wednesday night for an unexplained violation of the company's rules.

The listing for The Liberator Code Book: An Exercise in Freedom of Speech, which had been available on Amazon since Aug. 1, was removed from Amazon's website. The web address where the book had previously been listed now redirects to an error page. The web address where a Kindle book titled The Liberator: An .STL File Published as a Book also now redirects to an error page.

Both books had been published through Amazon's self-publication services. Amazon told the Washington Free Beacon it was banning publication of the books and their sale through their website.

It’s basically the blueprint for a 3d-Printed Gun in Print-On-Demand book form.

The data code for a 3-D printer to print a Liberator pistol.

According to Wikipedia the plans are stoll available from different on line sources.

Amazon is one of the most evil companies ever. I don’t understand why people like them.

Even their shipping, which they are known for, is terrible. Their market place is a gladiator arena too.

This is an example and a warning of where we are headed as the virtual book replaces the printed book.

We see what has happened already in the printed news industry as newspaper editors have decided to advance the leftist political agenda and attack non-leftist thought.

In coming years it will even more easy for them to control the shaping of news and political views as the younger generation totally abandon printed new sources for what is accessible on line.

Now Amazon is showing how that, can and will, happen to information disseminated in book form.

Information will be filtered and decisions as to what books will be made available will be governed by the same kind of people who control the major newspapers and mass media TV news today.

I suspect that by October there will be no conservative voice on the social platforms and diminishing voice on the internet generally. The goal, of course, is for the Democrats to have a monopoly on campaign advertising before the elections. If people who would normally vote for the republican but are not terribly involved in the issues does not hear any Republican voice other than the pieces of cardboard in his mailbox for the last month of the campaign he will vote for the candidate whom he has heard incessantly. If there is a Democrat Wave it will come from this. If these things happen and the Republicans hold even or surge then it shows that the Democrats are truly done, for a few years, at least.

“Even their shipping, which they are known for, is terrible. “

I beg to differ.

I’m amazed by Amazon shipping too.

Way better than the post office.

That horse left the barn a long, long time ago. Amazon should, but will not, be ashamed.

I’ve said the same thing about Netflix. Their programming is always shifting and nothing stays on there forever. One day, all they’ll have on there is left-wing programming from say 2015 to present; forget about anything older that would give people an alternative view on things. They’ll be the gatekeepers, and younger people will never be exposed to the older stuff.
Which is why my family will always have a large vhs/dvd collection.

My wife had to send an item back. They told her to put it back in the box and put it on the porch.

UPS picked it up the next morning. They even put the label on it.

You and I have been saying this but nobody listens.

One hypocrisy: librarians are mostly gay or people with psychological problems (mostly both). They have set up tables for Banned Books Month with examples to show how heroic and back pattingly wonderful they are to champion them.

Then they refuse to stock any book like That’s The Way It Isn’t (on leftist media) or any conservative and pro-Trump books, and now will support the Amazon destruction of books. Some heroes. Still mentally unstable, though.

Online “books” will soon be totally leftist and our history will be destroyed and gone except for people cowering in a hidden areas underground where illegal printed books like the Bible are hoarded in secret.

“librarians are mostly gay or people with psychological problems (mostly both).”

No kidding! I found that out for myself. I went to a library while our truck was in the body shop. Spent 4 hours there and I swear most of the staff was mentally challenged. Serious, I’m not trying to be sarcastic.

It just so happens we now live in the Information Age! Virtually unlimited information is literally in the air around us. Censorship is no longer effective in the intended manner - quite the opposite in fact. We call it the Streisand Effect.

This is politically-correct virtue-signaling by Amazon. Which is to say it's a meaningless and ineffective exercise.
