Thursday, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) told reporters it was “likely” President Donald Trump will fire Attorney General Jeff Sessions after the midterm elections.

Graham said, “The president is entitled to an attorney general he has faith in. I think there will come a time, sooner rather than later, where it will be time to have a new face and a fresh voice at the Department of Justice.”

I’ve thought the same, and probably a lot of FReepers have too. Wait until after the midterms and - FIRE AWAY. FIRE AT WILL!

I am suspicious of Graham and Grassely. Why are They agreeing to Sessions’ removal now?

Sessions should be more than fired.

He needs to have a public ass-kicking.

And how would Graham have any knowledge of what Trump plans to do?

Remember that most of the reason President Trump hasn’t fired Sessions already is that Graham had said the Senate would not confirm another AG if he did.

Graham is giving him a green light to countermand the red light he showed earlier.

Sessions should have remained in the Senate. His recusal and passive acceptance of the appointment of a special prosecutor have been the lowlights of his service as the AG.

If Mitch The Bitch is accommodating, he will adjourn the Senate for at least three days after the midterm elections. This would allow President Trump to recess appoint a new AG, so the right man would be in place while his nomination is being considered by the Senate.

They know Congress will impeach for “obstruction”, and they’re tired of waiting for Trump to do it.

I think the 2 senators have seen the overwhelming evidence that there was/is a plot to take Trump out.

Don’t trust Linda though.

Exactly. Asking for trouble to do it before the mid term elections.

We need to kick Democrat butt. It will make anything we’ve been waiting for the mid terms for all the better.

Or maybe he's signaling Mueller that he might as well finish his "investigation" because his days are numbered.

If Trump is really unhappy with Sessions I don't want him to just fire him. Trump has a destructive habit of surrounding himself with a lot of seriously f#%&ed up people, and I could foresee the AG post turning into a revolving door of @ssholes who will make Jeff Sessions look like Jesus Christ.

The first person to pick the dates Sessions and Rosenstein get the boot gets a kewpie doll. ;)

After today, I pick the same day they both get the heave-ho on November 13th, which is 1 week after the midterm elections. And a closer date from my earliest prediction in mid December.

Not good enough. Mueller is going to use this to pull some kind of October Surprise to mess up the elections. Word has it he’s going after Don Jr. next.

Sessions AND Rosenstein recused themselves and aren’t supervising Mueller at all, he’s accountable to no one and a threat to the Republic.

He needs to go tomorrow.

Graham knows that there will be a new Senate Republican Caucus come January 2019. In 5 month’s Graham will no longer be the 51st (de facto 50th with McCain absent) Republican Senator where every GOP vote was needed.

Both sides know Trump's first two years were the Dem's chance to take him out. Of course they will come up with new schemes after mid terms ... but this is the end of "Chapter One: Can Trump Survive the Poison Lie Planted in 2016?" aka the "Insurance Policy." Trump kept his gun in his holster on the Russian fakery (but not his mouth, which wisely kept reminding everyone that he could shoot but didn't) so that when it's over and they have nothing on him no one can claim he obstructed the investigation ... so that when it's over, it's over.

Any more Russian BS out of Dem's mouths after mid terms & Mueller's report will lose them support among even their own silly constituents.

They say he's undisciplined. No one has shown more discipline than Trump the past two years.

He might be the most qualified we've ever had to have his finger on the nuke buttons.

I've said it many times. Trump is humble. The brashness and shoot from the hip stuff is an act. There is confidence in his humility because there is competence (and sincerity,) but the arrogance is fake, an act which is effective and also fun for him ... but an act all the same.
