A Reuters-Ipsos poll found that 70% of Americans support the socialist health care scheme "Medicare for All." And 60% support "free" college tuition.
The Reuters-Ipsos survey found 85 percent of Democrats said they support the policy along with 52 percent of Republicans.
Medicare for all has been in the headlines after a study by the libertarian-leaning Mercatus Center at George Mason University found it would lead to $32.6 trillion increase in federal spending over a 10-year period.
The study's author, Charles Blahous, wrote in The Wall Street Journal earlier this month that even doubling taxes would not cover the bill for a single-payer health-care system.
The policy's proponents, however, point to a note in the study showing that health-care costs would also decrease by $2 trillion by 2031 if it became law.
Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), who has introduced a Medicare for all bill, has said that the Mercatus study is "grossly misleading and biased."
The new Reuters poll also showed that a majority of Americans supports free [sic] college tuition. Forty-one percent of Republicans said they supported the policy, pollsters found, compared with 79 percent of Democrats.
The move to abolish Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) was also opposed by a majority of respondents. Seventy percent of Republicans said they opposed abolishing the 15-year-old agency, while Democrats said they were evenly split on the issue, with roughly 44 percent in favor of abolishing it and 44 percent saying it should remain.
Hey, Americans! Do you want free stuff? To this, America resoundingly answered, "Do you think I'm an idiot? Of course I want free stuff."

Well...guess that places me in the 30%.
I support free bikini models too.
As long as someone else pays for it.
Is it too late for the Rs to “repeal and replace” Obamacare? This time they really mean it!
Nope. This is not a scientific poll. This poll was done on leftist campuses in Washington State to get a specific result. Not buying.
Once freedom is gone it will never come back.
When the dam breaks pm massive Federal spending on free medical care and free college you will never be able to get the water behind the dam again.
Yeah. Pretty much everyone I know is in the 30%.
Bagster
Yep, we’re screwed.
We have Medicare for all. It starts at 65.
Poll how many want to *pay* for Medicare for all...
As a start to sorting these things out, we should kick Members of Congress out of the federal health insurance and pension systems. MC's should have access to nothing that is not universally available to ordinary citizens. If it's good enough for us, it's good enough for them. They can save for their retirements through an IRA and buy their health insurance as individual coverage on the Obamacare exchange system.
Certainly there was not caveat to the “medicare for all question” addressing the $32 trillion cost.
I think this was a dishonest push-poll which asked recipients if they prefer the current health care system or “something else”.
What we have is so screwed-up most obviously chose “something else”, which is being spun as support for socialized medicine.
These types of polls are inevitable as America’s demographic continues to change. Trump is our last hope.
On the college tuition, the question mentions soaking the rich to pay for it.
They tell us what we want.
Then they set about getting us
what they told us what we want.

I do too. I think doctors and professors should work for free. Also construction workers should work for free to make sure everyone has their own home.
Yep, we’re screwed.
Will they still support ‘Medicare for all’ when they find out that it only covers 80%?
Let’s see all liberal leeches come up with 20% of a 50K hospital bill!
