Christians Deceived by the LGBTQ Movement
American Thinker ^ | April 26, 2018 | Lloyd Marcus

...Christians believe the LGBTQ movement's lie that they seek only Christian love and acceptance. The truth is, the LGBTQ movement seeks to bury Christianity, bullying us into silence and extinction.

Everything they can hold against Christianity is even more stringent under Islam.

Muslims not only oppose abortion, they forcibly marry little girls to old perverts. They have harems. They cut the noses off rape victims if not stoning them to death for adultery. They mutilate female genitalia so the wife or concubine will not enjoy sex -- with the object of removing the incentive for infidelity. [The men, of course, are free to be unfaithful, bringing STDs to their baby mamas and unborn children.]

They not only oppose same-sex marriage, but also toss homosexuals off buildings. That is their alternative to the deprogramming offered by Christians.

Christians witness their faith; Muslims spread their violent, expansionist political ideology via deception, demographic invasion and sectarian violence.

And yet the LGBTQ activists do not try to silence Muslims. They do not deliberately target Muslim-owned business to force them with the choice of either violating their principles or be fined/litigated out of existence.

Why?

There are two reasons; one of which is obvious, while the other is not. Obviously, Leftist activists do not want to rile Muslims, because in doing so, they would put their very lives at risk. That makes them hypocrites and cowards in their selective outrage.

The less obvious reason is that they consider Muslims as Agents of Change. They are temporary allies in bringing down the existing order, so the Leftist vision of Utopia can be sown in the bones, ashes and rubble.

I am not a Christian, but recognize that the religion is one of the foundational pillars of Western Civilization. It would be very difficult to hold our society together if its influence were significantly eroded. The Left and Muslims recognize it also, so they target Christians deliberately -- because they share the same hatred for our way of life and our people.

The likes of Angela Merkel, other European Leftists and those in America want to replace Caucasians with Arabs and other Third Worlders. They want to replace Christianity with Islam.

They see their own people and culture as impediments to installing their twisted view of Utopia. They want to replace those accustomed to prosperity and freedom with people who hail from places in which corruption is the norm -- and questioning authority can be hazardous to one's health.

They know that we're being looted, raped and slaughtered by neighbors we neither asked for nor chose. They see us as collateral damage as they look down their noses at us while hiding behind armed guards in gated communities/secured buildings.

They naively think those from an alien, hostile, backward, unassimilable culture can be brought under heel by getting them addicted to social programs. In fact, we taxpayers are being forced to subsidize the demise of our nations and people.

They continue to select themselves for extinction by building more coffins than cradles and are blithely dismissive of the real threat of being demographically overwhelmed.

Only when it is their turn being buried to the waist as men bearing stones stalk toward them will they experience the consequences of their folly.

And likely even then they will still not understand.

If sodomy is normal, then Christianity has no meaning.

This believer is not deceived. I’ve been saying to my non FR friends their ultimate goal is to have the church recognize them as being normal.

Any “church” that recognize them as being normal is no church.

Evil can never be mainstreamed.

In the post-Christian West, the Left has gotten mileage out of the language of compassion.

But because of its lack of values, in the long run, its ultimately doomed.

My favorite saying come to mind: the meek inherit the earth.

The real reason??

The God of Christianity is real (and they know it) and has condemned them to help if they don’t repent of their sins, including their homosexuality.

This God of Islam is make believe and has no powe.

This believer is not deceived.

Agreed. What idiot(s) would believe sodomites pursue love and harmony? If Christians think peace is a common goal, it goes to show how little they know...

People don’t know C S Lewis was an atheist.

His friend J R R Tolkien convinced him of the truth of Christianity.

I’m not deceived about their goals or the way they go about trying to achieve them. They are trying to make their presence known even in the smaller towns where they were pretty much ignored for years. If they keep stepping up what they are doing(or trying to do)now, they start wishing for the days when they were mostly ignored. Generally speaking,if they keep their personal affairs to themselves, they may not be bothered much, but if not, then they are asking for trouble.

The church wit out Biblical doctrine is a force for Satan. Jesus came to save the lost. They must acknowledge error in order to repent. They must repent to receive redemption. You just can’t get the sun to be cool. God is not changing! The “I’m ok, you’re ok reasoning avoids repentance, thereby rejecting redemption.

I’ve been reading Rodney Stark’s account of the rise of Christianity in the Roman Empire from s marginal persecuted sect to the official state religion.

Ideas matter.

The left has “progressed” from “defining deviance down”
to “defining deviance upside down”.

And Pope Francis the RED is dragging Christianity with them by condemning those who oppose unchristian deviant behaviors and normalizing those behaviors.

I’ve always been a religious person.

We are living through dark times. In the end however, it will all work out for the best.

There is no question that it was Christian clerics who were responsible for preserving Western civilization after Rome fell. The ancient literature — and indeed literacy itself — served as a time capsule to be opened when the Reformation, Renaissance and Enlightenment came.

Otherwise the Dark Ages would have been longer and darker with no history upon which to rebuild.

Actually, it was Chesterton that swayed him:
G.K. Chesterton had a significant influence on Lewis. As Lewis read The Everlasting Man, he appreciated Chesterton's humor and was surprised by the power of his presentation. He began to feel that "Christianity was very sensible 'apart from its Christianity'"
I'm reading Chesterton now, ...tough going.

I think you mean, natural.

In some locales and sub-cultures it is normal.

It will never be natural anywhere.

Both are true: knowing Tolkien, reading Chesterton.

Tolkien and Lewis shared a passion for Nordic myth before Lewis converted.

Lewis dedicated The Screwtape Letters to JRRT.
