Former Vatican official claims Pope Francis knew of abusive ex-cardinal, calls for his resignation
CBS News ^ | August 26, 2018 | Unattributed

A former Vatican ambassador to the U.S. said Sunday that he told Pope Francis in 2013 about allegations of sexual abuse against a prominent priest — and that Francis took no action. Now he is calling for Francis to step down.

Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano made the claims in a lengthy statement that concludes with a call for Francis' resignation: "In this extremely dramatic moment for the universal Church, he must acknowledge his mistakes and, in keeping with the proclaimed principle of zero tolerance, Pope Francis must be the first to set a good example to Cardinals and Bishops who covered up McCarrick's abuses and resign along with all of them," he writes.

CBS News spoke on a video call with Vigano, who confirmed he wrote the statement and said he was speaking out now "to combat the grave situation in the church, to protect the church and also to stop future abuse." He told CBS News producer Anna Matranga that he had no agenda and was stating facts.

Vigano, who retired in 2016 at age 75, described an exchange with Francis on June 23, 2013, shortly after he became pope. It involved Cardinal Theodore McCarrick, the former archbishop of Washington, D.C., who resigned last month over claims he sexually abused seminary students and an altar boy.

Vigano writes that he told Francis about the allegations: "Holy Father, I don't know if you know Cardinal McCarrick, but if you ask the Congregation for Bishops there is a dossier this thick about him. He corrupted generations of seminarians and priests and Pope Benedict ordered him to withdraw to a life of prayer and penance."

Vigano writes the pope did not respond to the statement, and McCarrick continued in his role as a public figure for the church.

Convene a Grand Jury and indict.

Then try and convict this Pope and his Cardinals under RICO charges.

And imprison them for the rest of their lives.

Or, is Vigano lying?

Let a jury decide.

Bergoglio will continue to cover for the lavender mafia infesting the Catholic church. And as a reminder, leftists never resign.

Resignation and replacement is not enough.

These men must be tried and sentenced in a US Court.

RICO is the perfect mechanism.

The Lavender Captivity (aka Great Sodomite Heresy) must end.

In some jurisdictions, RICO suits have been filed against Catholic dioceses, using anti-racketeering laws to prosecute the highers-up in the episcopacy for abuses committed by those under their authority.[citation needed] E.g. a Cleveland grand jury cleared two bishops of racketeering charges, finding that their mishandling of sex abuse claims did not amount to criminal racketeering.[citation needed] Notably, a similar suit was not filed against Cardinal Bernard Law, then Archbishop/Emeritus of Boston, prior to his assignment to Vatican City.[11][12] In 2016, RICO charges were considered for cover-ups in Pennsylvania.[13]

Cardinal Viganò identified this as a problem rooted in predatory homosexual networks in the Church. He sued the word "homosexual" 18 times in his report.

CBS used the word "homosexual" -zero- times in their article.

That's the strategy of the offenders themselves, their enablers, and of the whole secular media as well. They will not, can not, dare not identify that the offenders are their fabulous gays.

Even if Frankie were to resign, which he won’t, the same homosexual/pedophile mafia that installed him would just install another pope in his image. The homosexual/pedophile mafia has gotten even stronger under Frankie’s reign. Does anyone seriously think that Frankie has been putting heterosexuals and reformers in positions of power and installing them as cardinals? Get real, people. Frankie has accelerated the process of homosexuals and pedophiles gaining control of all the levers of power. Catholics only have two real choices. Stay in the cesspool that the church has become, or leave. Because the reformers that want to put a stop to the raping of little boys are all being forced out, as well as being prevented from joining the priesthood. The other “reformers”, those that want a church that celebrates homosexuality and perversion under the guise of inclusion, are in full control.

That’s why trial in a secular court is warranted...even necessary.

This is not just a Church problem.

The rest of society has a stake in the disposition of these perverts, criminals and enablers.

It is OBVIOUSLY a conspiracy to commit, and cover-up, heinous crimes.

80% of it wasn't pedo.

80% of it was gay men trolling for sexually mature young males.

Years ago, the youngest seminarians were under 18 (hence minors, hence messing with them was against criminal law). But now most are twenty-somethings who didn't enter seminary until they'd already had several years of college or had had jobs "out in the world." A lot of what McCarrick and his fellow slimeballs were into, was young men like seminarians and young priests under their so-called supervision, who were street-legal (over 18)

As far as secular law goes, that's legal; as far as Church law, God's law goes, it is an abominable, damnable sin: one of the four sins that "cry out to Heaven for vengeance."

The homosexual networks that tolerate or encourage the buggering of young clerics or each other, set the stage for underage crime as well. They set up a situation where everybody is blackmail-able, everybody's got something to hide, and thus create the climate where even when the "target" is underage, everybody looks away, "Don't Ask, Don't tell."

These crimes -- Church Tradition has always said ---"cry out for vengeance."

An honorable, holy man would resign. However don’t expect the homosexuals to relinquish easily their control within the Catholic Church. It gives legitimacy to the politically correct narrative that seeks to overturn the collective wisdom of three millennium that condemned sodomy and homosexuality. The homosexuals will not be driven quietly from the Church. There will be shrieking and battle. They did not go quietly when they lost the White House. This “who am I to judge” Pope will cling to power until his dying breath.

Italy has RICO?

This is up to the laity, which will either condone sexual predation by the Church hierarchy or not. If the laity accepts this, the Church is dead.

I’m waiting for the day when the entire mask is ripped off and Vatican City has a gay Pride parade. It can’t be much longer now.

That’s why trial in a secular court is warranted...even necessary.

All American courts are ever going to be able to do are try Americans that are in country. They're not going to be able to get at Frankie and the homosexual/pedophile mafia that rules at the Vatican, or those in other countries. Virtually no other country is going to ever get involved. This is an international problem with no real solution. In the end, the catholic church is just going to be a hollow shell of its former self. Look at what happened to the Episcopalians. Their church is in decline now that homosexuality is celebrated. Same will happen to the catholic church when celebrating homosexuality is enshrined, and that day is coming sooner than you think. In the end, the church is going to destroy itself. It won't happen through the courts.

Not gonna happen. The Paraclete has already started exposing the rot and He will always protect His Church.

This Pope and some of his Cardinals will travel to the US eventually.

Or to one of the more than 100 countries we have an extradition treaty with.
