('08 flashback) Barak Obama for President (what the left REALLY thinks of McCain)
New York Times ^ | October 23, 2008 | NY Times Editorial Board

Hyperbole is the currency of presidential campaigns, but this year the nation’s future truly hangs in the balance.

The United States is battered and drifting after eight years of President Bush’s failed leadership. He is saddling his successor with two wars, a scarred global image and a government systematically stripped of its ability to protect and help its citizens — whether they are fleeing a hurricane’s floodwaters, searching for affordable health care or struggling to hold on to their homes, jobs, savings and pensions in the midst of a financial crisis that was foretold and preventable.

As tough as the times are, the selection of a new president is easy. After nearly two years of a grueling and ugly campaign, Senator Barack Obama of Illinois has proved that he is the right choice to be the 44th president of the United States.

Well, if you’re trying to destroy and pervert the United States, Senator Barack Obama was an excellent choice for Pharaoh oops I mean President.

Thanks, New York Times! Thanks, liberals! Thanks a lot!

I went through Hurricane Katrina in Biloxi, where the hurricane actually hit, not New Orleans where but for graft and corruption the dikes would’ve held. The federal, state and local governments, in conjunction with numerous aid societies, did everything they could to make sure we had food & water and were rescued if in peril. There is nothing else humanly possible that they could’ve done. It was a miracle.

Didn’t read the source but after the first sentence knew it was the NYT or the Pravda on the Potomac (the Compost)

If it weren’t for double standards, liberals would have no standards at all.

OK, I’ll reply to you since the poster got the zotted.

It’s great to see that the NY times is just as objective today as they were in this article. They don’t realize that they were ripping on a guy that turned total progressive in his 2nd term and his horrible failures were a direct result of that. As abjectly horrible as he was in his 2nd term, he was still worlds better than Kerry.

In addition to pointing out how saint-like Obola was I’ll wager that The Slimes also pointed out how utterly filthy and despicable McLame was.

If you read the editorial, they basically treat McCain as they would any Republican. They throw around words/phrases like partisan division, class warfare, racism, opportunism, frInge, every-man-for-himself ideology.

In death, and to a large extent during his life, they LOVED him when he was anti-Republican. But if McCain was against the Blue Tribe, then BAM! he was an enemy.

I'm not suggesting people suddenly have a case of amnesia. The Senator was no Deplorable. But if people think being chummy with this lot will win you friends when you need them, you're wrong.

They endorsed him for the Republican nomination. I guess he became a racist afterwards.

NY Times was off by 8 years.

I think pretty much most things have gone to plan. Of the Manchurian Candidate Obama.

Now, they’ve working very hard through their disciples to destroy the next Presidency via lies and the liberal media’s lies.

The country is being destroyed by Democrats who are actively engaged in a coup. /Captain Obvious
