Munich Massacre Mastermind's Grandson Sets Sights on Congress-Democratic Party's new normal

“Grandson of terrorist rises in race against indicted GOP Rep. Duncan Hunter.” That Fox News headline drew criticism from the terrorist’s grandson, who called it “unfortunate” and a “quick take.” But the headline was entirely accurate.

The terrorist is Muhammad Yusuf al-Najjar of Black September, the PLO squad that murdered 11 Israeli athletes at the Munich Olympics in 1972. The terrorist’s grandson is Ammar Campa-Najjar, 29, who is “challenging Republican Rep. Duncan Hunter in California’s 50th Congressional District, where Hunter is now embroiled in a federal indictment” over $250,000 in campaign funds.

Campa-Najjar is “a Palestinian-Mexican American who worked for the Labor Department under the Obama administration.” As his campaign explains, “in 2012 Ammar served as Deputy Regional Field Director for President Obama’s reelection campaign.” Then “following the election, Ammar secured a White House position in the Executive Office of President Obama.” At the time, nothing emerged about his terrorist grandfather.

“Grandson of Munich Massacre Terrorist Is Running for Congress,” headlined a Haaretz piece last February. As the Israeli publication explained, “Ammar Campa-Najjar’s grandfather was in the terrorist organization Black September in the 1970s.” After the story broke, the terrorist’s grandson said in a statement, “For the sake of the victims, I hoped this tragedy wouldn't be politicized. But if these old wounds must be re-opened, then I pray God gives purpose to their unspeakable pain. I pray that purpose is to see peace prioritized by my generation of Palestinians, Israelis and the whole of humanity.”

The Munich massacre and terrorist grandfather Muhammad Yusuf al-Najjar do not appear in Campa-Najjar’s campaign material. “The son of a Mexican American mother and a Middle Eastern immigrant father,” the Democrat explains, “Ammar was raised in San Diego until the family moved to Gaza for four years. When war broke out and it became unsafe to remain, Ammar and his mother and brother returned to San Diego.” There he became a “youth leader,” and graduated from San Diego State “after taking time off to help reelect the president.” For journalists, that left plenty to ponder.

According to the San Diego Union-Tribune, the candidate’s grandfather was “head of the intelligence wing of Fatah,” from which Black September emerged. After the Munich massacre, Israel launched “a 1973 commando raid in Beirut, Lebanon, where Yusuf al-Najjar and his wife were both killed.” Orphaned son Yusuf al-Najjar “moved to Egypt and later immigrated to eastern San Diego County where he met his wife, Abigail.”

Why the couple wanted to live in the USA, and how they managed to gain entry, is not explained. “Yasser al-Najjar later moved from California to Gaza,” the article says, “and Campa also lived there from ages nine to 12 before returning to San Diego just before the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.” The purpose of the move from San Diego, “America’s Finest City,” to Gaza is something of a mystery, but it couldn’t have been for freedom, opportunity or better schools.

Campa-Najjar claims that “the relative,” his grandfather, “was mentioned” in Gaza but the leftist Democrat does not go into detail. The easy return to America raises other questions but as the terrorist’s grandson spins it, “I was fleeing war and then unfortunately war followed us.” In America “it’s a comeback story, it’s people fleeing a tragic past and hoping for a successful future.”

Plenty there to fire up any investigative journalist, but by all appearances the establishment media failed to explore the Gaza sojourn in any kind of detail and never sought documentation for the easy access to America for a man with terrorist connections. For Ammar Campa-Najjar, the media presented that theme in the best possible light. Consider this classic from Javier Panzar of the Los Angeles Times:

“His campaign was dealt a serious blow in February when an Israeli newspaper reported that his grandfather, Muhammed Yusuf al-Najjar, was one of the leaders of the massacre at the 1972 Munich Olympics that left 11 athletes and coaches dead. Israeli commandos killed his grandfather in 1973.” In reality, the Black September terrorists did more than simply kill the Israelis.

They mutilated Yoseff Romano, cutting off his genitals in the presence of nine other captives. Then the terrorists savagely beat the Israelis before killing them, but the German police kept this information under wraps until 1992. So it’s more than a “tragedy,” the term of choice for Ammar Campa-Najjar, who like the media thinks it “unfortunate” that this atrocity emerged at all.

Campa-Najjar’s former White House boss, who called terrorist Nidal Hasan’s murder of 13 Americans “workplace violence,” is not troubled by the massacre of Israelis under Muhammad Yusuf al-Najjar. So no surprise that POTUS 44 has endorsed the candidate, with Elizabeth Warren and socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez also on board.

This Palestinian-Mexican American lived in Gaza, drew inspiration from Dreams from My Father, and worked to re-elect POTUS 44. So for establishment media everything he says must be the gospel truth, and the lives taken by Black September don’t matter.

Meanwhile, Duncan Hunter’s legal woes did give Muhammad Yusuf al-Najjar’s Democrat grandson a surge of sorts. In the sanctuary state of California, more than one million illegals already registered to vote could boost Ammar Campa-Najjar’s chances in November.

“Why the couple wanted to live in the USA, and how they managed to gain entry, is not explained.”

They “gained entry” just like all the other cockroaches... They swam the Rio grande.

“The purpose of the move from San Diego, “America’s Finest City,” to Gaza is something of a mystery, but it couldn’t have been for freedom, opportunity or better schools.”

Attended terror training camps.

“So no surprise that POTUS 44 has endorsed the candidate, with Elizabeth Warren and socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez also on board. “

Awesome! A trio of America hating communists support the jihadi sleeper cell.

“I pray God gives purpose to their unspeakable pain. I pray that purpose is to see peace prioritized by my generation of Palestinians, Israelis and the whole of humanity.”

Notice that he doesn’t say their pain is bad, just “unspeakable”. He doesn’t condemn the attack, just says that we can’t speak about the victim’s pain.

Why should a jihadist care about the enemy’s pain or want to speak about it?

He prays that the victim’s pain might be for a good purpose, like the destruction of Israel so that “peace” will come.
