President Trump on Monday announced two new appeals court nominees and two more picks for district court judges, continuing to fulfill his promise of reshaping the federal bench with a conservative bent.
The president tapped Allison Jones Rushing, a North Carolina attorney, to the 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, and Bridget Shelton Bade, a magistrate judge for the District of Arizona, for a seat on the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. The district judges would serve on courts in Georgia and Louisiana.
The new nominations come as the Senate prepares to vote on a dozen district court judges whove already been approved by committee.
So far during Mr. Trumps tenure, the Senate has confirmed one Supreme Court justice, 26 circuit court judges and 26 district court picks.

That Trump is such a sexist....
I wonder if any of the folks who trashed Trump for being a Leftist in 2016, would like to come forward now and admit they didn’t have a clue back then?
Yeah, and Trump doesn’t even wear that cosmic skittle protector under drape like Mitt does.
Oh, you mean salvation through “Battlestar Galactica .?
Magic pajama battle-gear...
Evidently he wears some sort of Mormon undergarment.
God bless the Resistance! There are no gears in their hatred, just full throttle. As a result, there is no need for POTUS to compromise on any nomination or policy.
11 are being voted on tonight by senator Mcconnell. We are going to end up with so many judges. 40 years of heaven baby!!!!!!
If it's such a win for our side, why aren't the libs screaming bloody murder about it? Doesn't it make you wonder?
I dont think liberals pay attention to judges except Supreme Court and even that isnt a big priority for liberals when voting.
I dont know that I "trashed Trump for being a Leftist" in 2016, but as a former NY State resident I was very aware that Trump had a history which did not include anything resembling a normal Republican trajectory - and did not include a Damascus Road change, either. So I was not onboard at the beginning, and thought that he would act as a cats paw for the Democrats to keep a conservative off the ballot.I gradually realized that Trump was a fighter who would not back down, and that was a weak suit of every one of the other Republican contenders.
The thing that really clinched it was his list of potential SCOTUS nominees. I couldnt know that he would follow through on that list - but I certainly knew that Hillary would not name that quality of justice. Not by a long shot.
Trump is actually not a Republican, in the conventional sense of the word. In reality he resembles Ross Perot more than any prior Republican POTUS. My main objection to Perot was my assumption that he would split the conservative vote and elect Bill Clinton - which arguably is what happened. Trump, OTOH, conducted a hostile takeover of the Republican Party on his way to defeating Hillary in the general election.
Thank God Hillary didn't get to make these picks, or any of the upcoming picks!
It is particularly important for President Trump to place seat judges on the 4th Circuit. Obama got a bunch of appointments and flipped this circuit which covers Virginia, North Carolina, etc to a much more Leftist persuasion. Trump has managed to get a couple on and just about balance it back out. The next one will ever so slightly flip it back to the good guys.
They do not want their base to be confronted with the fact that these judges are being approved and they (leftards) are looooooosing in these new fields of dreams.
